No offense [this way fairly cool], but I don't see why this won. [Maybe it's just because they beat us, but...]
I couldn't see my band [as I was marching in it], but I noticed at least one person out of time at any given time, the guard was off, there was a dropped solo [in guard], and reed squeaks.
Fairly cool, still, though... It really bugged me that they brought out a prop they didn't use.
@fRaNcEnGlAnD every single band has at least one person out of time at most given moments, and everyone makes mistakes-- even the first place bands-- so those are hardly viable arguments. The whole package of design, repertoire, and execution is how a band is given credit, and Evergreen certainly showed those attributes to win at any given show, and very strong for a September show. It also helps to have numbers to emphasize those traits...
@wazzuwhitehead From the top of the stands, it didn't really look like much.
I do, however, absolutely love the last movement/production of your/their show.
The numbers, in this case, didn't really help. [just a personal opinion at this point for this part]. I had a hard time noticing the solos, especially the guard and dance solos, and it didn't really look like anything other than lots of people playing on a field.
And it wasn't just one, which was the part. I don't know if I got the off side
@wazzuwhitehead ,but when I was watching then, the line were faulty, and there were an awful lot of 'drops'. [including guard solos. The latest show, it was this poor girl who dropped her riffle three times, and stepped on her flag during a twirl]. Now, it is indeed a strong performance, and an interesting idea, but I saw Skyview's [not my schools] as flowing better and more 'noticable' [they have the same amount of people, or similar to Evergreen.]
@wazzuwhitehead recorded here, the most interesting movement/production was not yet added, and it left me feeling like it was incredibly incomplete [as they did bring the Pasion panel out]. The 'whole package' award [the closest mini award to which is the 'general affect award'] was not given to Evergreen heard, meaning their music was strong enough to bridge the gap.
I'm not said by any means that you did not deserve a high score. Simply that I saw Skyview's as a more 'polished' show, and had
@wazzuwhitehead hard time understanding why they would come in behind us when you were ahead. [if you like, I thought there was the best show]. Now I do realize I am not a professional judge, and hence might have missed some important factors, but I would like to be able to understand why.

Sorry about the essay I just wrote.
