@TheTippyTipShow One time I took a double dose of Lantus... Terrible day.
It motivated me to start writing down exactly what I have taken immediately after taking it. I also have 7 lantus-only syringes set out for each day of the week, with each day written on every syringe. I can't risk screwing up like that again.
And number of injections may vary from diabetic to diabetic. In the last year, I have had to inject 2190 times. As I am sure is probably a number similar to most dianetics who use insulin. Love the video BTW.
All you need to do is take your basal shots at a different time then your bolus(Meal/snacktime insulin). Like say before bed, or when you wake up. Don't take your NPH/basal shot at meal times. Just take your rapids or regular at snack and meal times. This prevents mix ups.
@HaligonianType1 - my spouse used to do this actually and the problem then was just literally forgetting to take it. Meal time shots are on his mind. Other times? Not so much. It happened often enough that he switched to during meals with them. If a person is diligent enough that is a good method to help though.
good idea, novo nordisks insluline pens are now color coded. This makes it harder to mistake insluline from one another. Though it would be nice if the pens where physically different as well.
I hate it when I can't remember if I took my insulin or not!!!

Does colored insulin really exsist? Or is this just a ploy?

This would also help to spot leaks from a pump. My son's tubing breaks a lot. This would be fabulous!
