this amp has issues Known as a volume spike surge whatever you wanna call it. try switching between a clean channel to a High gain channel and the volume will get get extremly Loud. im currently dealing with this issue and have to play a gig early sept. i dont suggest this amp if u wanna use it in a band because switching channels midsong the volume will crank. i hear not all amps have these problems but the vt 50s and 120s apparently also have this issue. some more than others some not at all

@LeafRaider no one is ever taught how to use an amp dude :) there are rarely going to be "settings" for particular song unless you have the same equipment as the artist; it's best to play around until you find something you like, or is close enough for your taste.

I'm looking to get this amp with a footswitch. I noticed it does have a tap function for the delay, is there any way to put that function into the footswitch? I'm pretty dumb when it comes to effects, but if you or someone could put me in the right direction, you would be awesome.

@projecteightysix The optional vfs5 footswitch does not have tap function. It is for bank and preset change only.

@gejzabela Actually it does man.. I have this amp with the footswitch VFS5 and with CH2 switch you can set tap tempo. hope it helps!

I've recently bought a vt15 and well i'm not sure it's working right. I can play a few of the preset songs but they just dont sound right and i certainly dont obtain the same sound you get. i love this amp, apart from taking a while to warm up the valve its the best ive ever used. great variety of effects to mimic any song or band choice you like. unfortunately ive had mine just 2 months and its packed up on itself and broken, i didnt do anything to provoke it either, it doesnt travel anywhere...its lost all of its sound and makes a fuzzy sound no matter what channel or effect you put it on. So let me get this straight, all of these are presets set in stone, I cant tweak them? Cause if it is that way then you are better of with some korg or digitech multi effects and a cheaper amp.They sound shitty but you got the control. Unless you can tweak settings you will end up dissapointed.

@store1992 Marshall MG series are less desired. It lacks the features Vox has. Although, Vox and Marshall are both British amps, I would rather say, Marshall has a good distortion. But the variety of sounds you get from Vox, Pretty much, you get features, Presets, etc. Stick to Vox.... Enjoy:)

I don't know if I should get the VT30, or if I should get the AC30VR.

Money is not really an issue at this point, Im going more for quality of amp.

I know the AC30VR is 2 x 12, which is great, and it sounds great. THis amp sounds great as well, but I have never tried one out. Any suggestions?

@19ZoSo93 22 amp models vs 3 models, effects vs reverb, presets vs nothing, 1 speaker vs 2 speakers if you have any outboard effect AC30VR is a great choice. VT30 w VFS5 footswitch is a great ang complex solution. But the choice is yours.

Hi there. I am planning to getting a VT30. I have a Highway One Tele. Wouldn´t that be a too "shinny" or "bright" combination? I am almost sure the VT50 delivers fatter low end because of the 12" speaker, but the price of the VT30 is just for me. Is it an enough loud amp for giging? Thanks.
