whiteranger, get real chump. top speed of a 1.4 k series engine is about 120mph. if you actually owned on you would know it wont do even 95 in 4th.
but as far as 0-60 goes. its one of the best engines in the 1.4 - 1.8 range, my rover 214si standard pulls 105bhp and you would be lucky to get that from a 1.6 corsa or clio nevermine a 1.4.
if you can find a rover k series that has had a head gasket change then its a great buy and the engine will serve you well!
i have a rover 45 1.4 and it does 195 kph in 4g , but only 208kph in 5g..but is still a rover not a mustang. my father use too have a fiat 131 abarth.. rear traction... that as a great car
Funny how i have got one and your lucky to get a 120mph killin the crap out of it. Dont get me wrong, its a nippy car for a 1.4 but 135mph in 4th lol hahaha. Some people just havent got a clue
rovers maybe the most fastest 1.4 out of the factory ive got a top end out of one of these which was 150MPH and it will do it too. from 100MPH to 135MPH keep it in 4th gear although it does take a while after 100

take it no one realised the speedo woz in KPH not MPH which means that the car woz only doin 120 mph overall
