I thought about how silly it was that the robots just accept that humans give them orders in the beginning, and was absolutely shocked when the show actually addressed the issue. It got big props from me from going there, this show is old but it actually had character development....shock!

This series was truly great, ahead of its time or any other time. I was crushed when it did not return for another season. I hope the show is released on DVD someday. The animation was incredible and the music was very catchy.

As far as I know, there was some copyright issues w/ Tonka (or Hasbro, can't remember), which ever made the Gobots. So the show was canceled after one season.

They stopped showing it because no one was watching it. At least, very few of my friends were. Muppet Babies was showing at the same time on a different channel and it was much more popular.

The design on this series was amazing. The characters had personality, and there was a great theme song and incidental music.

Wow. I was expecting that to suck. The animation quality was excellent, the music and voices were great, the characters and the story were great, and I even loved the narration (it fit the cartoon perfectly).

Not only did Hanna-Barbera rip-off Transformers, they had to get this cancelled. I'd be mad except for the fact that they created Jonny Quest, Yogi Bear, The Jetsons, etc...

Actually it was Tonka who did the lawsuit. Hanna-barbera created the the Gobots cartoon before Transformers. Challenge of the Gobots air on September 8, 1984. Transformers September 17. 1984
