(I accidentally slept, when we watched the movie during our film history lecture...)

I think the French impressionist movement lead to films with great visual narration in it, like La Glace à Trois Faces, or this one by Dulac. Though the story's assembling is conventional, the way the story is translated into specific film language is just loving. Finding new words for old stories, there's such a glance of childlike joy in it!
