metroid first came at 1986, and from them it just evolved.

Prime has all the things Super metroid had, minus screw attack and spazer beam, and super metroid came on 1994.

so all of the sudden because a game has become a first person thing it rips of halo? samus was battling aliens long before the chief.

They both have their strong suits, Metroid has the exploration and one of the first female protagonists in video games, as well as a captivating story. Halo has multiplayer, a story that is pretty extensive, in which it goes beyond the games, and it has a bit of a more mature factor. I like both series, and I really want to start collecting Metroid games, as I have all Halo games so far.

First off... Other M sucked...

As an avid fanatic of both Metroid Prime and anything Halo... Halo wins in accessibility of gameplay, overall plot depth, and REPLAY VALUE! I've never played a metroid game more then 3 or 4 times through, it gets boring and repetitive. I got the MP Trilogy when it came out, played each game through not even twice and haven't touched it since. But Ive been playing Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, and Wars constantly as the years have gone by.

Lol, you say Metroid hasn't aged well when you're defending Halo, a series infamous for not enough changes in each new title. Blinded by bias? What did you think this was, a factual debate? I think that Halo sucks, and so do many others. Even many people who like shooters dislike Halo because it's generic.

explain it please... and Halo 1 has a very good atmosphaere. there were about 11 different enemy types, not 5. I only didn't like Halo 2's single player, but the same to Prime 2 because it was so hard. but the prime trilogie is at all much better. i must know, i have both trilogies complete. ^_^

no way. halo is very good too. halo 1 owns a rating about 94% and metroid prime 1 one about 96% IMHO. (because in these 2 trilogies both part 1 games are the best ^^)
