  • its my dads now man you should see it it is so pretty its green and yellow(:(:

  • Very cool

  • i love that sound i would ride a diesel

  • sounds so badass. love that diesel rumble and exhaust note. would there be a way to outfit it with a turbo (i couldn't hear one spool up)?

  • Very nice and clean looking bike, and sounds good too.

The smoke would make everyone smelling it go to Micky D's ;)

  • I would like some info on a gas to diesel transplant. Do you have a website? I have a Buell (or may use a smaller Honda or Yamaha 250 frame) and would like some tips on torque converters, transmissions or gearing. I am lost as far as what the best set-up would be from the engine back. Have seen 10hp diesels go from 30 to over 70 mph and need to find out what some of those [people did incorrectly before starting my project.

  • Why?

  • @LS44mm Why not?

  • Can the belt handle the torque or did you use chain or shaft?

  • Would love to see more of this machine, looks great, sounds great.

  • buenisimo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    good engine

  • Now that's cool, good job.

  • Bad ass diesel... hell yeah...

  • Nice bit of engineering, even sounds good.

  • sunds really good like this engine watch?v=PBNhpCVy_kk

  • A bile wilth balls: My wife & I used to ride a Kawasaki GT550 until our first child was born. After six children we are looking at a bike again. And the oldest, a boy is interested in riding as soon as he's old enough. A biodiesel bike would fit the bill as I could burn our used vegetable oil and dripping.

  • Man they need to sell bikes in maine

  • what it doesnt make in hp, makes up for in torque....and its unique!

  • TDI?:)

  • john deere on 2 wheels. great

  • TORQUE!

  • BAAD-ASS

  • awmg does it put out black smoke =o?

  • Nice bike. I imagine the exhaust smell would make me want to go and buy a burger and fries:-))))

  • top speed?

  • how come theres a smoky exhaust on biodiesel- an btw nice vid mate :)

  • @SantaChristmas123 bio diesel pollutes the same as regular diesel

but its carbon comes from plants which was in the air about a year ago anyways so it has a much lower net carbon footprint

  • @mageac No mate. It pollutes 70% less. Only solids are about the same level (always lower though). You can argue that it is solids that are the most harmful for humans but so do all types of petrol products. Do I need to add that turning the oils into biodiesel and not ending up wasted means that tons of oils tha currently end up in our seas and waters will be consumed in a much more preferable way.

    Biodiesel MAKES sense!

    The question is politicoeconomic.

  • @notgodsemigod what pro bio diesel support group did you read that at? the total net loss in pollution is pretty great yes because its not fossil fuels, but measured at the tail pipe the difference is minimal.

either i cant use it much here anyways it gets too cold here and the last thing i want is a tank full of jello

  • @mageac A 1998 study by the USDA and US DOE found that using pure biodiesel in urban buses “results in substantial reductions in life cycle emissions of total particulate matter, carbon monoxide and sulfur oxides (32%, 35% and 8% reductions, respectively, relative to petroleum diesel’s life cycle)” (page vi).

And the above does not even refer to the overall CO2 lifecycle (that is where the +70% figure rises).

So what is your problem with all that?

  • @mageac ... I mean why do you feel obliged to attack biodiesel? Do you work for an oil company or something? Why would you care? Oil will always remain a useful chemical, you won't lose your job. But petrooil should be used for plastics, not for fuel.

All we are saying here is that biodiesel makes sense. It is much more preferable than petrodiesel. It is not just cleaner & better for the car, it is local and can be produced even by small local family businesses. WTF is your problem with that?

  • @notgodsemigod actually if i could get it, i would use it, my issue is that its not the saving grace of the environment that some people seem to think it is.

hell im a mechanic, and we use veggie oil to heat our shop...

  • @mageac Its all clear: I 100% agree with you. That is why I said above "biodiesel makes sense", I never too sold it as any saving grace of the environment as you say. I am EXTREMELY wary of those eco-freaks these days, most of their lot is nothing sort of identical to... PETA (animal as-if protection group). They do not like this, they do not like that... and what happens is that they attack all the good things (often including biodiesel) and remaining silent in the big issues.

  • @notgodsemigod all those dummies running out and getting a prius because its trendy to give a shit about the environments, like all those celebrities that want the prius "green" image and then fly all over the world on a private jet...

  • @mageac Hahaha... precisely! Not to mention that the production of Prius with each extra assemblies and the batteries is proven much more harmful to the environment if analysed in depth - not to mention that the fuel economy is not anything more than what a decent modern diesel car offers (4,5lt/100km for Prius, 5/lt/100km for a diesel).

You wanna save the environment? Consume sensibly, buy and use only what you really need. You will do a favour to your health and your bank account too.

  • Just curious, what kind of motor does it have now? This thing sounds incredibly cool! Great job!

  • Very awesome! Always wanted to make a harley motor into a turbo diesel. The lack of funds always hinders great ideas...

  • RESPECT:)

  • Don't mind the stupid coments, i think it's a lip forword. Can you make a V-twin diesel one?.. If that works well it will surely make it's way in the series.

  • it sound like a 3 cilinder diesel ,, witch engine did you use to build in?

  • Sounds like a Fucking Cummins, I love it!

  • Comment removed

  • Tractoooooooooooooor!! I like it!

  • awesome love it well done prob the best engine ever fitted to a HD

  • What kind of mileage did that bike get? I think that thing was pretty cool, by the way. Thanks for posting it.

  • that a ford dexta engine?

  • so now you can ride with even the fastest chicks out there!

  • Opinions are like assholes, but I say this is seriously bad-ass. Diesel bike is my new dream :)

  • Hells Yeah, Diesel Power! It sounds like it can pull a stump from the ground.

  • Great sound!!! nice. I want it.

  • That's not bike mate. That's Truck !! :D

  • isnt that kindof.... whats the word... shit, to ride ?

  • @MrJoshuacherry93 You're a Harley rider too? Then you have answered your own question!

  • sweet ride. killer mpg!

  • you get the "Best Fucking Bike Ever" award

  • That's awesome! A diesel powered Harley-Davidson! You can't beat the smell of diesel exhaust.

  • EPIC ! :D

  • can i ask, why convert your bike to diesel ?

  • Superfatboy

  • Great job! Nice to know that environmentalism can actually look cool. Is there any chance that a bike could be made to run on vegetable oil? As I understand it, Biodiesel still takes heavy refinement.

  • @VictoriaEatingCake not really you just have to have the right equiptment to make biodiesel and depending on how big your system is it can get pricy but if you use it frequently it will pay for itself in no time. the perks are if you run on biodiesel you can run on regular diesel too. although you can run diesels on pure veggie oil, it requires modifications that wont allow you to run on regular diesel anymore. imagine getting lost and out of veggie oil right next to a fuel station. lol

  • @resisthexcept Cool! Thanks for the answer. Is there any way to make a customized system that could manually/mechanically switch back and forth between bio--diesel and vegi-diesel?

  • @VictoriaEatingCake no. search svo diesel theres a lot of info about it.

  • @resisthexcept Thanks for the reply. There should be a vegi-oil pump at every station.

  • my dream

  • Good job man!

  • nice man!!!

  • i am both concerned yet strangely aroused.....

  • thats cool diesel is cool

  • Awesome!!! But why no turbo?(if there is i didnt hear or see it) not that its needed but would be nice at 50mph in 6th to just to roll the throttle rather then downshift 2-3 gears!! plus the turbo just sounds so badass on an open exhaust, I see that you sold it, is the new owner on youtube or have pics of it anywhere on the net?

  • @GamesterX69 Obviously you're not aquainted with diesel bikes. I once rode a 412 cc single cylinder diesel Enfield of 8.5 bhp, geared for 65 mph in top. You can imagine the overall performance with that small a rating. Yet it would easily pull away from a standing start at idle in top gear without touching the throttle grip, & donk away happily without snatch at 20 mph. No turbo required for a 50 mph roll on in top from a 3 cylinder diesel, believe me!

  • @GamesterX69 (65 mph @ 3600) About the same top ratio as my 1300 Hayabusa, which most certainly won't pull away in top, or 5th, 4th, or 3rd, despite its 175bhp!

  • has good sound

  • ディーゼル特有のノイズが、却ってワイルドさを出していてステキです!

    きっと乗り心地、燃費共に長距離駆けたら最高じゃないですか!

    はっきり言って欲しいです! でも高いでしょうね~

  • Why are people worried about smoke? I would enrich the injection so that huge amounts of black smoke pour out of the mufflers! That would be awesome!

  • @aseglkj Really! The smoke from a veg-oil m/c has got to be better on the environment than the soot that comes out of a bus.

  • @aseglkj and it would be very good for the environment too --'

  • @demax1995 well yeah but boring though it is awsome to have your very own deisel bike in 3 years does it?

  • nice I always wanted to try this you give me the inspiration that it cant be that hard if you can build it lolo

  • i will have to admit that this harley actually sounds pretty good

  • Nice, great work! Even sounds good!

  • damn that thing is like a tank

  • very interestin bud i like it

  • id buy that

  • absolutely fantastic build. Love to tour on that bike and pass right by fuel stations and laugh. How about a cummins 5.9 turbo bike? Good Job.

  • Sweet! I love the sound the engine makes. How about going for a ride, eh? I've never heard of a motorcycle with a diesel engine. What's it like to ride?

  • It's awsome, sounds like a truck and the black cloud it leaves behind when you accelerate is nice effect. I want one! Adding to the list of things to accomplish.

  • sounds like a truck lol nice bike

  • Ignore the detractors....they are all zombified. This bike will run for a LONG time (even when petrol (gas) runs out). I have eight bikes, and I'm looking for a diesel one!

  • Nice work, do you have a link to pics or more info?

  • ask away..

  • @swtartdude I'd love to see the build-up on this rig. It just redefines the moniker "Fat Boy"!

  • Nice job, great work. Who gives a CRAP what other people think and say about it. And who would even care what other people think it looks or sounds like sitting at a red light? Keep up the good work!!

  • Don't listen to him! We loved it!!!

    Great job.

  • i like it!

  • sounds like a boat-motor :D

  • I have had many bikes and I am always changing something on anything I own...so congrats on the successful operation...

  • I'm not a mechanic, myself, but I am a chopper enthusiast with increasing concern for the environment - ATWA. I'm just wonering what kind of changes need to be done to a standard engine to get it "up and running" as a (functional) biodiesel? Can the older HD pans or knuckles, f. ex., be converted? Or is it a whole new kind of build that is required? A lot more people are working to tread lightly on the Earth. Just wondering what's involved in biodiesel conversion. Thanks a lot.

  • I'm not a fan of motorcycles, but that is just frickin sweet!

  • Well done, great sound! I hate to say it, but it would seem that having the word "Harley" in the title and the tags is what's generating all of those ignorant / rude comments. (mine not included) : )

  • My 96 ultraglide will also meet this demize one day, I hate gas engines, everything I own is diesel except my harley and I'm gona fix that too.

  • hey fuck head, let see yours. asshole.

  • haha wow, anybody can buy one. have fun gettin lost in the crowd.

  • @swtartdude I think this build is great - shows creativity, imagination, motivation. Provides inspiration to those of us who don't want to be another slave, trudging along, buying whatever Madison ave. wants us to buy so they can make more money. Good going, keep it up w/ projects, ignore the jealous nay-sayers.

  • @swtartdude This chump is obviously some jealous, insecure, homophobic (probably still in the closet himself), non mechanically-inclined; small "member"; trash talking; wanna-be living in his mommy's basement stealing wireless internet from his neighbor! "Super-hummer65", please crash your bike into something solid at high speed :)

  • Yes, you are 21 years old, can barely type out a correct sentence, you have no videos, BUT. You have a Harley. Sure thing.

    "faggit" Nice job there.

  • @superhammons65

    YOUR A FAGGIT

  • if you thought it was so great why did you sell it?

  • had to move on to the next project....no time to waste!!!

  • thats cool i can understand that i wasnt trying to be mean , its cool that people can use their brains to create , im the creative type myself . Can you tell me more about your project is it fast , how much power do you get as opposed to gasoline fuel?

  • who you callin a faggit?

  • I've always loved the sound of a diesel engine personally.

  • whats the point here please?

  • um coolness, and whynot.

  • The last Harley ever manufactured was the Liberator. After that it's just a cult-status low tech bike that survived by its status and by some modest evolution through the years. Putting in a Diesel engines makes a unique one-off, so it should be an improvement.

  • HD no matter how are still a piece of shit. We call it sugar cane grinders here, they sound the same

    ?v=qyHCHDU1pc4

  • crappy???? diesel???? do ur fuckin reserch their boy... million times more durrable than a gasser.... would love to do this conversion... 5* rating from me

  • @starbuck680 your a complete and utter dumnass faggot... its an amazing bike

  • Cummins92......It's pretty bad when you can't even insult someone without making yourself look like a total moron. First of all, that isn't the way to use the word your. Try you're. Dumnass???? I think you're trying to say dumb ass. How far did you get in school Einstein?

  • just cause im a little bad at spelling, thats not my point its an amazing bike and you should give credit where credit is due

  • @starbuck680 ur just a pussy who can't stand a little bit of diesel smoke. it isn't nasty, and it's not even that black. you're thinking of someone lugging the shit out of a tractor motor. an engine in a bike like this isn't gonna run pull that hard and run that rich. probably a damn city slicker.

  • hey dumb ass, did you read the description of the video? did you read the part where he says, (and it smokes!! alot!!) ??????

  • @starbuck680 well then he's probably a puss bag too. i've seen little 3 cylinder perkins run on equipment before and they don't smoke much, unless you try starting it in 20 degree weather, in which case you shouldn't be on a bike anyway. look at his other diesel bike videos with the buells. they don't spew tons of smoke.

  • @starbuck680 you didn't see his diesel buell did you? it didn't smoke at all. if that is beyond the threshhold of someone's exhaust tollerance, they don't deserve to ride a bike period. they should put themselves in a plastic bubble and drink distilled water in gallon jugs.

  • The sound is close to an International Harvester Tractor sound!

  • come rovinare una moto

  • Wow!!!

  • certainly the only one of those around. nice job.

  • Thats sound is music to my ears, awsome job

  • It doesn't sound so bad as a regular diesel engine ;)

    "V"

  • very very nice

  • GOOD JOB DUDE.

  • That is nice!!

  • NICE WORK!

  • beautiful. looks good and sounds awesome. 5/5

  • Outstanding! Thanks for sharing

  • i love diesel engines +5

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • TORQUE KING lol

  • excellent! i would love to do that to my road king! good work!

  • SWEET !!! trading in the V-rod!

  • Nice. Really nice.

  • Put a turbo on that thing runnin at like 50psi of boost, and that thing could race crotch rockets!

  • a 3-cylinder engine like this would be great in a triumph...

  • Sounds like a little tank lol. I love it. More videos!

  • Sweet!

  • whoa;' that rocks! thanks for sharing. :)

  • What would a three cylinder Perkins 900cc normally power?it seems like a great idea to drop one into a sturdy motorcycle frame.

  • That engine sounds sweet, good work.

  • in such hard economic times this bike is really usefull... 100 MPG. WoAh! and better yet, running on soybean oil! cheap. i wish i had one :/

  • wheres the lorry

  • haha what?

  • It sounds like a lorry

  • swraerdude,

What a weird lookin' bit a kit!

    Joe

  • Nice, at least this one was cool...The last one I watched had the ride appeal of a sweating fat girl in a thong! 5 Stars!

  • dude., thats sweet. very good customizer man...

  • That engine sounds right at home on that bike! Very nice!

  • man this thing sound awesome! sweet engine swap dude! 5 stars

  • how much did you sold it for?

  • i didnt know HD Make Diesel MC's

  • haha, they dont

    we made it

  • how much do you want for it?

  • sorry, sold

  • i thought all HD were diesel!

  • very interesting.

  • Nice work. Big cruiser style bikes like the Harley are ideal candidates for diesel power where low to mid range torque is required. In fact the power band of the oil burner is probably just as wide as the original v twin which tends to peak at ~4500-5000 RPM with peak torque ~3000. A good Turbo diesel with equivalent capacity could easily beat the stock hp and pretty much double the torque. Whether a stock clutch/transmission could cope with the extra grunt is debatable...

  • thats awsome, good job

  • I believe in 100mpg. Seems realistic.

  • really good job.

    regards

  • Man that is one cool bike. A Harley AND a diesel..2 good things in one. I wish we could have heard it reved up for a little longer, but you stopped it in time so i didnt drown in my saliva..

  • The sad part is, this diesel engine is much more advanced than the old pushrod Harley motor. I'm also willing ot bet that even this diesel doesn't rattle as much as one of those "perfectly balanced" V-twins.

  • awesome!

    Well done guys.
