@MrPain4u211 Confidence, technique, work ethic and being aggressive to the ball are the most important things for a goalie in my opinion. Work on those things and you should be fine.

you should haveyour overbody a little leanedforward the you should stay withyour protecetion leg much longer in the air and higher,you are taking the ball with stretchedarm wich is good but you should work on your footwork so you can move much faster and have balance (overbody a little leaned forward=Balance) because now you really are leaning your body backwards and you don't want that or you donthave the balance because the exercise isdone wrong seeyou need to bemuch far away from your trainer
This kid is never gonna be a GK cz he gets tired pretty fast... as 4 goalkeeping it needs a great deal of stamina cz your opponent will rain them stikes on ya!! Btw look at the coach, he doesn't pay attention to the flaws!!!
From my uderstanding he knee it self doesnt protect you its acually the force and momentum that the knee generates that is the protection. If you have momentum on your side your gunna come out on top. Also you want to raise the knee that is opposite to where the ball is coming from, this not only gives you momentum going forward but also gives you that swing so you catch the ball face on. I could be wrong but thats what I understand.
@ the first drill, u used the wrong foot, you have to jump with the foot that is closer to the goal line, and do your knee higher. thats for self protection
@penaltykiller85 both things are only partly right. you raise your knee mainly for the momentum it generates allowing you to jump over people in your way and the leg you raise depends on the side the ball is approaching from.
U have to always catch the ball infront of your head or u might loose your balance and fall backwards
