I've been looking at some of the in progress stuff and it's looking interesting. They're going to borrow a bit from Chromehounds on this one. You're still going to see some burst dodges, but not nearly as zippy it seems as you've seen in AC4. Over boost will be the thing that gets you down the line in a hurry too. However though there will be some fast play, it won't be all super out of control speed as before, but they add nifty things like kicking off of sides of buildings and such this time.

I think everything from 0:43 to 1:50 is in-engine. Wow. It's amazing how they're actually getting it to look like the old pre-rendered intros from previous entries in the series.

Probably the reason why they went with Heavy Gear/Code Geass-sized mechs this time around is because larger mechs eat up more terrain due to the scale effect, necessitating larger levels with lower graphical detail.

@Spartan043 They are making the mechs smaller so its more tactical, same with having an operator involved who can see the whole map and such but does not actually play in a mech, that person only gives tactical info.

@Fatalsoul190 Most of the Units shown in the trailer are the same as the one in the first promo Trailer in Japan, hopefully they have some sleek units as well. Also it seems they have an add-armor system going now, judging by the differences in armor plates for each of the shown units.

Less speed, more brute force fighting and strategy.

Cool. This has a combination of a few things in it in the way it feels to me. Part of it reminds me of Chrome Hounds in that you may not just be commanding a single unit, instead using a squad. Second, the ACs are rumoured to be smaller, that'll be an interesting gameplay change. Third, this feels a lot more realistic than previous games where ACs were the kings of the battlefield instead of being simply specilized units. We're going to have to watch for more developments, but I can't wait.
