The pass wasnt on, but a kick to the right hand corner for sackey and that may well have been a try. Or abit more elevation on his chip and chase. Shame though, the break deserved more!
wtf im english and play rugby but the team i think we need to watch next 6 nations is scotland the evans brothers fukin quality and huge danilli on the wing
wtf??? Danielli? The winger who's scored ONE try in the last 5 years playing for Scotland? The Evans brothers who can run fast and do not much else? Scotland who are the most boring team to watch, can't score tries to save their lives and rely on kicking their penalties to win them matches? Why do you want to watch Scotland, they're awful.
The evans brothers are good as are a number of scotttish individuals but they do not come togehter as a team. France shld be worth a watch and no one shld count out england. We had lots of fresh talent last year with ugo mony, delon armitage, danny care and possibly turner-hall. Although Strettle hasn't played since then i think he is an immense player but he is to injury pro. But definately my fav player!
could say the same about england team got the quality and with jonny back but just seem to fail in the important matchs, still how eva we play we still have a habbit of beating france and aussie even wen we play ccrap lol
hahaha rc2000 that is soo true tait cant actually do any more hes proberly the best up n coming centre in the world right now and still cant get played, monye aperntly quickest winger in urope not sure though,i heard that varndell can out run him,any 1 know strettles 100m time
Hang on... you're Scottish? What would you know about flair and excitement? Watching the Scotland national team is like watching paint dry. Consistantly at the bottom of the try scoring tables, and only winning the few matches you do because of Patterson. Meanwhile England top the try scoring table this year with 16.
Strettle is very injury prone, that's his problem. Everytime he gets in the team he picks up and injury and that sets him back. If he can stay injury free (big ask) and out together a run of form then he could be a regular for England, though there is a huge amount of competition for places at wing: Varndell, Cueto, Banahan, Simpson-Daniel, Monye, Ojo, Tait, Sackey, Foden, Ashton, Benjamin, Cato, Haughton all good enough and many more besides.
strettle is insane and to me he is a god but someone said that monye is shit. how can u say that he is by far the fastest rugby player in europe. when he was sixteen he ran 10.6 at 100m
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Monye and Cueto SUCK!!! They offer nothing in attack, only there to run in tries. Strettle creates loads, and tait should also be in the england squad.
If he looked right Sackey was waiting. 10-3 england. Instead Wales produced a titanic second half, win, and go on to win a second GS in 3 years. One poor decision can be the difference....
Problem with Strets is he's far too fragile, that's why he got dropped after being repeatedly battered by Rocococu. At least when Tait takes the ball into contact, you could get it back reasonably quickly.
Said so, I do enjoy watching Strets play. He's so aggressive, always looking to score. Just love his mindset.
He's a very tough cookie too, makes even the cleverest, biggest hit men look idiots! He should've scored against the AB's in the summer BUT there were bigger failures than him still in the mix as they seem to know how to pour the gin and tonics for the outdated, out of touch RFU! I really hope Johnno can get stuck in! Any Kiwis know if another outstanding talent, 8 man SCOTT DONALD is back in NZ. He concentrated on his career in police but was the best thing in Div1 2005-2006 by a country mile!
You mean Riki Flutey, one of the many Southern hemisphere players preferring to play their rugby up here in the northern hemisphere? Talk about an exodus from the dull S14/SH/Tri Nations competition. The 12 shirt has been a problem for England for years, if Flutey gets a cap in that position, good for him. He had a good season at Wasps. Anyway, Flutey's no choker, unlike the all blacks
Whatever his name - Graham Henry wasn't interested in him so who cares. Extend Luke McAllisters work permit and you can have him too. Graham Henry isn't interested in those that choose to play in Europe. The standard is not high enough. You're NH competitions are all second rate. Keep smiling.
Is this the same Graham Henry that 90% of the kiwi population wanted thrown out after 2007 for once again making the rugby world LAUGH, upon seeing the arrogant bottlers CHOKE on the big stage once again? The one who's rotation policy doomed NZ from the start of the world cup? Not helped by the basketball, no pressure environment of the S14 and Tri nations mind. If the standard is SOOO high in the south, why are all the stadiums half empty? Prompting O'Neill and the kiwis to bring in the ELVs
Tell PDV whose team we humiliated 19-0 in Capetown that there's no pressure to perform in the Tri-Nations. He'll think you're a relation of Andy Robinson.
'Whatever his name - Graham Henry wasn't interested in him so who cares.'
on what basis do you make that judgement? he was ignored by henry because of bad NZ policy not because of skill...the same can now be said for mcalistair (who flutely is equally good as in the prem)
if he ha dpassed to sackey, would have been try time... and more importantly prob game over from then on! cnt believe we lost that match still... oh well least we have another chance next year at the millenium stadium.. hopefully with cipriani back
Great david, he is a fantastic winger, I wish we had someone like him here in Italy, in that position. I really hope he comes back soon for England, a player like him is just awesome to see, what a class!
