@MrSYSTEM20 If you understood his place in music, you wouldn't conclude that. His inspiration for artists (of all fields) has been huge, he's gotten nothing but kudos from film/music critics. The awards speak for themselves, he almost got an EGOT for his very "first" film-score, which is rare, and he's about to do it again with the "Dragon Tattoo." I'd say he deserves all the accolades he's received over the years, being a one-man show and all.

Trent has never claimed to be Industrial, that title was given to him in the early 90's. Nine Inch Nails is Nine Inch Nails, the only genre he should always be attributed to is electronic. No other artist or band sounds exactly like him, whereas you can go listen to the radio/VH1 or what have you and "everything" sounds the same.

Yeah, Year Zero was a good for a concept album as he called it, different of course. The Slip was a pretty good album but it wasen't one of my fav but I liked it. I could be one of those people that says... "I love everything NIN does" which I kinda feel that way sometimes, but its the small fact that the ground breaking Industrial Rock album PHM sound has changed quite a bit almost into an almost alt. rock genre, still have that electronic rock sound though. almost 20 years NIN still kicks ass.

The DVD was amazing too him and Rob Sheridan did great work and Trent doing the Still cd was really cool too.

Ghosts was interesting.. and the Slip was quite good, I don't really consider it an actual release since it's only 9 tracks, basically, and that it was released for free.
