  • they should of sang! they would of won by far.

  • they cannot sing it like Steps

  • I like steps and this version they're both fun and weirdly makes me dance for no reason

  • better than josh....which isnt saying much.

  • let's compare

    steps and this trash

thumbs up if you like steps version more

    &

thumbs down if you like this trash version more

    votewisely

  • my god they are flatter than a pancake

  • Bring back Steps!!!!!

  • The guy in the leather jacket looks like declan donnelly

  • One of them looks declan donnelly

  • Live singing! I think this beats the Steps version on that factor alone!

  • you suck

  • wtffffffff

  • these lot are smart do crap on the night then dont get socked because thats wat happnes josh wont be around for long he will most likely be dropped of his record label but the song we had was horrifying

  • oh no..they are out of tune i think?! ... steps version is better!

  • @toeberries111 you forget this is a live version... steps is recording stuff..;)

  • old bananarama hit in 1992 and later covered by steps ...very catchy pop ditty..

  • Seriously. BBC, did you not take on board what the whole of Europe stated last year. Why are we so insistant that crap music=eurovision. We are known across the globe for our high standard of music. Up-to-date, innovative, and yet we have a 'Steps' hit from ten or so years ago.

  • Maybe it could have won, ten years ago.

It's all fine and a bit of fun, and there is no problem in entering what we do; it's when it's taken seriously, and people start talking about 'tactical voting' and what not. It's called taste! Would you buy these in a store? No.

All I'm saying is lose the 'Eurovision' genre, and enter real music, or stop complaining!

Or perhaps we are just so down right arrogant as a country, that we believe ourselves to be above such competitiveness..

  • old hat. might have been okay 20 years ago, but it looks so corny today.

  • My next door neighbour's dog sings better than this lot!

  • the choreography was good? :)

  • Utter shite!

  • omg i bet steps are screwing what a shit remake of of an classic

  • this sucks i thought this was bone

  • I actually liked this compared to some of the other acts on the show.

  • talentless, no points here

  • 0:19 очень похожа на мою сокурсницу, 1 в 1:)

  • RIDICULOUS comments. My cousin is the blonde girl in this group. And I'm sure she won't be happy with those comments!

  • @xxFittBoyxx i cant believe you admitted that, i would hang my head in shame, they were crap

  • OMG cant belive this ever made it onto British TV

  • Totally out of tune. :( I love Steps' version though.

  • have they brough steps back??? lmao omg they r a karaoke tribute band dedicated to steps lmao my ears r bleeding

  • OMG how could the BBC put us through this!! Pete Waterman must be regretting getting involved. Stick with established artistes! You cannot put a new act onto a stage with 120million viewers!! Look what happened with Cry Cry Baby!!

  • @salfordguy69 and look what happened with jade 5th place, jessica garlic 3rd place, imanni 2nd place, scott fitzgerald 2nd place ,live report 2nd and bucks fizz 1st all of those were unknowns before eurovision, without unknown acts we would have lost some of our best results at eurovision

  • @garrychelsea Agree, although Live Report finishing second was a miracle.

  • @salfordguy69 Look what happened to It's My Time.

  • souns like karaoke

  • both Banarama & Steps members will be laughing at this... suddenly they appear to be musical masters compared to this dross!!!

  • This was a scratch group which did really well. With rehearsal they would have been able to represent the UK this year, but Pete Waterman had other ideas and his rather mediocre song was designed for a solo singer.

  • @keeshond8 That's only your opinion. I like very much this Bananarama and Steps song written and produced by Stock & Waterman. I also like very much this performance, but I think that the final winner, Josh Dubovie will rapresent very well Uk. Try to make over 200 hit as Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman did and then write about "Mediocre song", please. Best regards from Italy.

  • @pwlitalianfan I'm sorry to have been proved correct in the choice of both singer and song. Pete Waterman didn't help his Eurovision entry by adding a team of manic looking backing vocalists whose distracting melodic line only served to undermine the credibility of Josh Dubovie's performance. A disaster was always awaiting a nice try by a nice guy.

  • @pwlitalianfan We have much better music than Stock Aitken Waterman and that is a fact not an opinion. We are the country that gave the world the Rolling Stones, The Smiths, The Who, The Beatles, The Sex Pistols, Bowie etc etc not to mention brilliant Soul ,House and Garage. For a country of our size we punch above our weight musically but people like Waterman gave us nasty, manufactured souless "music". People like Waterman prove that shit always floats to the top.

  • @TheGoldStandardBoy Of the groups that you mention I like the Beatles. In the charts of all time Stock, Aitken & Waterman as music producers are just below, as selling charts, the Beatles. Various songs of Stock, Aitken & Waterman in the structure reminds me of the Beatles, for example, "I'm Doing Fine" by Jason Donovan seems like a '60s song. The same Pete Waterman, to write music, he suggests buying the Beatles album. Best regards from Italy.

  • really good! should of represented uk this year!

  • The guys were pretty good.. ditch the girls!

  • Dreadful

  • OMG what a horrible sound.

Thank god they didnt win euchhh!!!

  • Bananarama wrote the song with Pete....they recorded it first too....Was one of the few non hits they had, but they made a killing financially outta The Steps version.

Bananarama still going strong, new album, new single out(vid on Youtube)April 10th and are on J Ross and Loose Women in April too...They just get better looking, and sound better than ever!!!!!!!

  • This group is REALLY good. Amy is my cousin, I'm really proud of her. And the singing was great. Firstly, steps was the COVER of the ORIGINAL bananrama song. Secondly, the group are tuned well, and I don't think they're tune deaf?

  • Not bananarama. This was done by Steps.

  • @Gilesfly The first version of this song was produced by Stock and Waterman for Bananarama. Then Pete Waterman used it as second song for Steps after their debut single 5,6,7,8.

  • This was originally a Bananarama song released as a single in 1992 and later covered by Steps :)

Both a million times better than this ruination!

  • The Nanas did it first!

  • i think these are worse then scooch and thats saying something

  • amy is nice

  • amy is sexy

  • One of them is the friend of Sally Anne Bowman. She said she wanted to do this as a tribute. However, now she'll just be spinning in her graze at 100mph!

  • the girls are the really good i think they would have done better with out the boys

  • They would have been better with just the girls, the guys were unbelievably CRAP.

  • Does the boy who sang first have a glass eye?

  • they've only been together for three weeks. It's amazing what you can achieve in just three weeks. (sarcasm hopefully not missed there)

  • aaaaaaahhhhhh........

  • i am very disappointed how this show is organised....i dont like the bbc anymore...its getting boring....the staging is crap and everything...

this band UNI5..they are cute...i like them...tehy somehow remind me of the teenage modern version of the band Steps!

  • It's probably because this was Steps second single back in 1998, it just made me miss Steps even more- this was shockingly bad!

  • what a horrible rip of a good song, and the winners song!! how terrible :'(

  • rubbish lol...

Only that boy right side, was quite nice

  • Okay hands up who thought the blonde on the far right looked like Dawn out of Eastenders to begin with?

  • God there tone deaf.

  • tunless pathetic go and get a job in maccy dees

  • bananarama must be cringing at the steps wanabees covering there hit dont think the rama will make loads of money of this like they did when steps covered it!!!

  • As soon as it was announced that Pete Waterman was going to write this year's Eurovision entry, I had my doubts. This show confirmed just that !

  • OOOOOOOOOOOuch my ears are bleeding. When the guy won you could see all the judges were disappointed.

  • ffs what is this rubbish

  • I thought only things could improve from last year....obviously I was wrong :(

  • : P

  • Yes and him lol. you think want to pull out of the Competition wouldn't ya. Best UK can hope for is to get 15th or better I guess. Just shocking from the BBC.

  • The BBC's sound guy needs to be fired!

  • BBC you really didn't make any effort tonight. Everything you did last year has all gone now and were Back to 0 points. Tonight one of the Finalists forgot her words. Graham Norton didn't know what to do at times. Who exactly is behind the production of this Program? it was an embarrasment!!
