  • its enough good my friend, LAOS :d

  • ya wajar lah...kalo opening ceremony nya rada kurang greget...diliat dari modal nya juga rada keteteran buat ngasih sesuatu di opening yang exstraodinary...

  • See You on 26th SEA Games in Indonesia (NOVEMBER 2011)

  • รักนายกอภิสิทธิ์

  • รักประเทศลาวมาก^^

  • I'm from Thailand. Proud to be ASEAN.

  • @DangerWrap me too...im from Indonesia..i dont know..maybe its just to much..in my eyes ASEAN is big family..and im realy proud with ASEAN COUNTRY. we can bring ASEAN talent to the world. and Yes We Can do that. dont forget Opening Ceremony Sea Games 26th in Palembang City/Indonesia 11/11/2011. ohh..what cool number 11/11/11 lol. WE LOVE YOU THAILAND, VIETNAM, MYANMAR, LAOS, CAMBODIA, PHILIPINE, MALAYSIA, BRUNEI, SINGAPORE, TIMOR LESTE, AND OFCOURSE MY COUNTRY..INDONESIA. :)

  • Nice job, Laos. For a first-timer this is an excellent effort indeed! Presentation is a bit stiff (especially the part where the audience has to be told to look at the scoreboard for the countdown...) LOL but it's ok!! Next time even better!

  • @eriquerique BUT I LIKE THE COUNTDOWN! IT IS UNIQUE HERE IN THE LAOS SEA GAMES, WHICH WAS NOT DONE IN OTHER SEA GAMES EDITIONS!!!

  • @RonnieVII haha Rizal are you serious?? have you been there personally?! anyway.. i dont think you have to be there personally to see how deplorable the conditions there are right now (by watching Azkals game kanina lang).. nakakahiya naman sa mga Sri Lankans..

  • haha.. i dont need to argue with you at makipagtaasan ng ihi sayo... Why dont you drop names kung talagang pumunta ka don?? Or better yet, why dont you explain to everyone who are you and why PH should NOT be the worse???... yun e kung may maniniwala sayo...

  • I believe that one day, Laos will host the Olympic Games in Vientiane.

  • @RonnieVII Panaad has enough room for its capacity to double...triple or even quadruple....if the Azkals' popularity remain long enough, i assure you that we'll a have a big stadium.

  • you will see Indonesia sea games 2011 its more like this and also more supporters.

Indonesia the new leader of ASEAN

  • at least they have a brand new stadium. nothing can be worse than 2005 Manila SEA Games opening and closing!!! It was done at a PARK!!! yes, at a park!!!

  • @ajoeroooo "nothin can be worse" --- too much inferiority complex right? it's not just all about the venue. That comment doesn't do any help the Ph at all.

  • @jmdarcega where the hell did "inferiority complex" come from?? You have no idea how Philippines sucked big time when they hosted 2005 SEA Games. and because of that worse hosting in history, tignan ko lang kung pumayag pa ang committe maghost ulet ang kawawang Pinas..

  • @ajoeroooo lol you're too negative...I have been attending the SEA games since 2001 and PH's hosting is not really the worst. Ayoko na lang mag-name drop ng bansa....ahem. Ikaw? Nakapunta ka ba sa ibang actual SEA games ceremonies ?

  • @ajoeroooo kung gusto mo ng bagong stadium, football ang paraan...

  • when i see this video, i can reminisce the old school opening ceremonies in the 80's and 90's. for a country that is first time to host a bineal event, hands up. much better than the korat version.

  • Cambodia!!!

  • Good job Laos!! From your asean brother, the Philippines!!!

  • presentation was like in the 70's or 80's

  • That is Lao not Thai.

But there are 1/3 Lao living in Thailand (ISAN).

  • Laoatians speak Thai?! i didn't know that until now!

  • my parents are from lao

  • In this new era , we can't lie anymore because the world is watching at small country. The Royal Family is sad of the past they've done . The communist in Laos can't destroy our love of long monarchy history . 70% of the Lao look at how the king of thailand is great "Why can't we have this today?" . I want the Constitutional Monarchy , i know some will not support this , but without the monarchy our country is not happy then before . Our king's as always done good by reuniting ethnics.

  • nice job laos. too bad they screwed us over by taking away basketball.

  • To the nagative person below, go get a life. Oh.. My bad you don't have one.

  • Jesus, we are going back to the stone-age world. What a shame to post this video.

  • I think the english here is better than the ones done in the previous edition (Nakhon Ratchasima).... They speak well, just like the Filipinos when it hosted the 23rd edition of the games...

  • it's look back 1970.......

  • I was there for the sea games and I love it so much... It was a reunited for me as well too. Almost 30 years of my life in United State of American and this was my first time going back home see what a wonderful well done, Laos are improving there status and system with knowledge and skills.

  • Laos suck at any sport!

  • I heard from my Brother in Laos had told me that. SEA GAMES Committee meeting

in Cambodia last month of Febuary 2010

They wanted Laos to host another SEA

GAMES after Indonesia 2011. But Laos

Government turned it down. They said, they are not ready for another host.

alot of countries, they Love us too much...

  • LAOS people were great! :) 2005 SEA Games opening is also one of a kind as well as this!:)

  • wow! impressive! so beautiful! oh and I'm Thai and I understand what they are saying! so cool! :)

  • i wish that ASEAN can match with the EU.

  • Thais can understand Lao language just fine. Lao folk music called Mor Lum is played and sold throughout Thailand and on their radio stations. Thais are also now listening to Lao pop and have access to Lao TV. The only reason why it may seem like it's a little bit harder for Thais to understand our language is because we have more words and expressions in our language than Thai does. It's a vocabulary thing, not the pronunciation of words. Our language has more depth to it.

  • @lannaking

Are you on drugs? Thai people can understand our language. What makes you think they don't understand? Where have you been? Hiding in a cave?

  • My family lives close to the stadium and my cousin works there.

  • I'm Lao girl. I'm from Luangprabang. I Love Lao.

I just move to U.S for a few years for study.

When I saw this video, I couldn't stop crying and I keep crying because of proudly.
