@theSuperMetroid Lame destiny? Of course, thats why Locke is an extremely tragic character and that makes him even more interesting (realistic). But if it wasn't for Locke, jack never would have saved the island, so his destiny was very important.
@metsjets333 What you see as important I see as false advertising. And Jack sucks Vinceent's shit, I could care less about whether he was a believer or not
@Jabrul Haha, I was just watching this episode again yesterday (as I've started my second run-through) and when I heard that, I bugged out. I didn't even pay attention to it the first time around.
@Chrisaaad I wouldn't really call it ironic. Locke just really wanted Helen back so badly that he hired a phone sex operator to pretend to be her and got caught up in the fantasy. It's sad, but it's definitely not ironic.
I'm really hoping they turn around what they've showed in the season finale...John Locke is a good person and really bad things happen to him, there's got to be justice !!
Bad things happen to good people, life is like that. What you have to do is accept it and try to live your life as best you can. I have a really bad disability and ive tried to run away from it all my life but I realized that I have to accept it and try to live the best that I can.
i think everybody has done that at some point in their life... lol i remember the first time i had a really bad crush on a girl and had to watch her go home with another guy. i don't think my steering wheel will ever forgive me for the beating it took,,,lol
1:31 - close-up of john locke while the machine he is on is making the same sound the smoke monster makes.

Killing John Locke was the worst thing this show ever did, especially since his story was nowhere near finished.
theSuperMetroid 1 year ago
@theSuperMetroid He died so that he could make Jack into a believer. Thats what his life was about
metsjets333 9 months ago
@metsjets333 That's a pretty lame destiny, no matter how you look at it

@theSuperMetroid Locke turning Jack into a believer is more important than any other character's destiny. Locke was special.
You clearly don't like the show so what do you care. Jack is the hero of the show, duh.

Wait he's talking to a woman named Helen at 4:25. Pretty ironic since his ex fiance/wife's name is Helen.

WpA09 2 years ago
yup.
that's pretty much it.
still, he had to use a wheelchair since the "accident" like 4 years before he crashes on the island...

I think that the enemy of Jacob/ Monster
Is the one that keeps the "destiny" to keep his course.
Locke has death, and Jacob save him.
In the Season 5, the "Monster" kill him, tell him that he would have to die.
So... what they wan to do, in my opinion, is create the loop hole, so that they can change people. or something like that. :)

I've been looking around for the scene with Locke, his friend and Randy in the lunch break, and here it is!
Terry O'Quinn can do no wrong....

oh hahaa :D "heaps" means "a lot"...kind of.
it's a pretty bad use of our english language, but i still use it for some reason

I watched this scene over and over again before I climbed Pikes Peak last summer. It was my destiny. It helped me climb that mountain

Don't forget what a superb actor Terry O'Quinn is, too. J. J. Abrams called him up without an audition for the show. He's great!
