@paralied hey, i appreciate the viewing! but honestly, i'm not sure how fast you could get it going. I'm not even sure how fast I can get it going as i've never checked the top speed. but I can tell you, it is a great bike, very reliable, and a lot of fun. but if you want all out speed, you should really think about a racing bike. my KTM 450sxf in first gear does what the TTR225 will do in third gear.. But i can not say enough good about the TTR!!

@starcolts1 i really am not sure...and actually, i don't ride it much anymore since i got my new KTM 450sxf lol...so far i've had the KTM up to 70 according to my gps...haven't actually used it to find the max speed on the Yamaha...sorry..

@WilleyDaKid It would depend on how big/small you are...it does not have the power a racing bike has....not even close...however it IS a 1999 model, and I'm not sure how powerful the new TTR models are. but if you want a lot of power, torque, and acceleration, then you want a racing dirtbike...if yamaha, you want a YZ series bike...however, the bike i HIGHLY recommend is a KTM...I now have a KTM 450sx-f racing bike, and it has more power than you could imagine...and tops out at around 70ish mph

@bykerboy223 actually there are a LOT of trails lol....we have a friend who is a farmer and he has about 2000 acres of land he lets me ride on...however I don't have any videos of that....I just felt like racing up and down the road when I made this...I will be making another with my new KTM 450sx sometime too..

Sorry, but to be perfectly honest, I have no clue.....I haven't really seen a new TTR 225.....The bikes I have been looking at are Honda's.

thanks.....and nice...it's a fun bike lol...this is completely stock....and actually i don't have a spedometer on it, but my dad was driving behind me in the truck one day and i think i was on top gear at the point he was talking about, and i got up to 45mph....but i think i could probably ring about 50 out of it because i never got to the top of the highest gear on that run.....what does urs top out at?

mine was clocked in at 67mph when it was stock with a radar gun on the road. now i have no idea.

well what what year is yours? mine is a 1999 model....that might be why lol...not sure....fast though....urs that is.....OR.....wait....we just found out bc my mom was driving our new car behind this work truck, and we found out that the spedometer isn't accurate.....it's slow....so maybe i was going faster than 45....not sure....i'll have to drive with the new vehicle behind me.....idk...

mine is an '04. pretty much the only mods it has on it is an fmf exhaust system, and the baffel and airbox tuned up

Yep, it's a 225 4-stroke......not 2-stroke, you might be thinking of that.

how did you eliminate the rattling sound

Well....I now have a better video that I will post Friday night, and it has even less rattle....What I did....I put the sound on the "hi" setting and put a thin layer of toilet paper around the camera inside the casing to eliminate the rattle....don't worry, you can cover up the button, you will still be able to push it through the toilet paper.....good luck if you have one!!

ive got a 04 ttr 225 and it will run bout 80 or 85 mph......but its bored a millimeter over, has a high compression piston, and has a hotcam......but stock it would run 75

lol wow! maybe I didn't have it maxed out.......sounded like the RPM's were on the high end though.....but maybe not..
