try a piece of sandpaper in keyhole to clean off buildup on contacts it works,most of the time.before you rewire your ignition,it worked on my montecarlo...no more starting problems
@johnnymonjohnny10 do u think using some graphite in the keyhole might help ? I was thinking of trying that but was afraid of making the situation worse
2006/ 6.L Chevy Vortex engine: after installing new battery--with ignition on gauges do not register. Battery & ck engine symbol light up. Engine turns over strong but when key is released it does not catch. Holding key to on position continues to turn engine over but necer catches.
@AlwaysHopeful87 someone tried to steal my car and they f ed the ignition switch all up and the light comes on and it wont start. a new ignition switch is like 300$ and i dont want to spend that on this pos. can you tell me what to do? thanks!

This is not a passkey system it's a passlock system, they are Not the same thing. You should re-title all your video's.
