  • 0:59... haha, I love that moment with Mercutio!!

  • Does he have any other films?

  • I was going to be mad if they made it have a sad ending because of my little niece, but the twist at the end was sooo adorable! I loved it! :3 Cute, cute, cute!!!

  • lol the ship there on looks like the titanic, and theres a scene like the one in titanic too

  • Did they die like shakespear's version?

  • @rahascar no romeo goes in a deathlike sleep like juliet but they both wake up

  • My respect to Phil Nibbelink this is boring but is petty impressive

  • Heavens to Murgatroid! What a fun & cute trailer! Thanks for posting it! I remember when this played at a local theater for a short time when it was first released. Yowzers! Looks pretty dang good for a film that was animated & directed by ONE man! Hope it was a successful release for Mr Nibbelink & his production company.

  • I loved this Film.

    :)

  • Don't tell me, he did the trailer voice himself too, right?

  • Does anybody know that this film was made in Flash?

  • And a electronic drawing pad thing too.

  • They get married in this movie

  • @ilikethedolphins they get married in the original play, too :) i should know because our drama club were originally goin 2 perform this but we had to do King Lear instead. :)

  • I saw this movie,Its great!

  • I never saw this movie in theatres, I didn't even see any ads for it last year...O.O

  • Oh dear lord....now I never liked Romeo and Juliette very much, but even this gets to me. Turning it into a family friendly film with a happy ending? Doesn't that defeat the whole point of the play? I mean, they're not very star crossed if that's the way it's going to be...

  • So this movie will be a kid's movie, which means that it won't have the tragic ending like it suppose to, which will suck ass big time. No wonder it's not so popular. Most people don't know about THIS animated movie.

  • Actually, there is one kiddie adaptation of "Romeo and Jliet" that DOES have the original endingxD

It's called "Sea Prince and the Fire Child"(also pretty obscurexD)

  • I have that movie! Loved it since I was a kid.

  • Me too! Except I just got it for Christmas last year, making me a recent fan:P

  • INDICAN PICTURES is releasing the film in Theaters. It's already played in NY and Southern Calfornia. In April it moves to Northern California and the midwest!

  • yo dude why dont u film the show when romeo and juliet comes again

  • You're right, since I wanna see this movie so bad why don't he record the film the next time he sees it!

  • Aww man i didnt get to watch the entire thing...when is the next time they're gunna show it?

  • Wow Phil is very industrious, I love this movie too, even it is classical. How many years he finished this? and I think this classical novel is made by William Shakespeare.

  • When did this come out

  • Man this movie looks terrible. TERRIBLE!

  • lol, "SEALED" with a kiss. XD Get it?

  • Wow, he has one heck of an attention span. Haha. I hope I can become as great an animator as him.

  • "Phil solo-animated the entire film in his home studio. He drew every frame and painted all the backgrounds -an immense, massive amount of work, that usually takes years for a large studio of artists. Looks pretty good to me ... regardless of that. "

If that is true, you are an inspiration to animators everywhere

  • what a very strange concept.

  • Judging from the trailer, the quality of the animation easily matches what's done by a large team. I hope it gets a widespread release.

  • Man alive! It's people like you that make the town of crazyville a pleasure to live in. Look forward to seeing the finished article. Much love - The BM

  • That's insane. Way to stick it to the Man.

  • Congratulations Phil! 've been reading about this feature on AN and Steve's blog. Thanks for inspiring the younger generation of animators who still believe 2d animation rocks!
