If you think Beyonce got her moves from the JCettes....find some video with the JCettes doing those particular moves. I know someone put a DD video with both the DD's and Beyonce on it.

I can careless of who Beyonce mentioned. You can't give credit to a group (JSt) for something that another group (DD's) has been doing for years. Esp, if/when said group ain't on any video doing the moves their credited for.

It all started with St Aug Marching 100 out of New Orleans. I can show video of St Aug in 85 and you will see the same field show in this video. Taking nothing from Southern, Jackson St, or GSU but it's time to give the credit to Mr. Hampton. PURPLE!!!!!!!!!!

JSU is the more "together" band. Check out the J-settes, even Beyonce gave them their props in her blog about her mimicking their style in her "Single Ladies" video. But, SU does have volume , that 1 sorry drummajor need to go and sit down though......he's tired

I'm not going to say which HBCU I attended so I won't offend my classmates but I have to give it to Southern. Their band always throw it down proper. Their precision and perfection is almost scary. The sound is so loud it almost blows you outta the stadium and those dancing girls are by far the most beautiful of any college marching band, black or white or otherwise! Sorry, but I had to be honest. Simply put, the best band in the country.

yea Just blow thats all you need to know at SU or any SWAC band LOL naw for real if you go to SU you will be in the Power House of the SWAC but your best bet is to go to FAMU LMAO

Never have I seen a school that has it ALL except Southern! The drum major is great and exhibits great strength to do that back bend & march with such skill, the band sounds great but doesn't overblow & has the best halftime shows, and the dancing dolls are dangerous! Keep it up SU!
