i have the iphone 3gs,blackberry tour,iphone 3g, blackberry bold. I really do need to start selling my old phones.

However i wanted to point out that the palm pre is by far my favourite. the keyboard is not too bad, i got used to it. this is definitly the best phone to date, and i would definitly encourage this phone over an iphone, or blackberry.

btw hotmail works great,gmail works great, and yahoo works great.

why would you want an onscreen keyboard??? i have both phones, the pre and the iphone cause my company is on sprint and we get to choose our phones. i bought the 3gs and im stuck with a 2 year contract. thank god im givin it to my little bro. the pre's 3g is faster where i live and plus i wont have to pay for phone service. bottom line is i have both phones. its just a matter o which you like best. i like the pre better. the iphone is good too

This has no on-screen keyboard! So you can't use it in landscape mode, you have to use the slideout keyboard. What a joke.

the landscape thing was intended because it was so fricken hard to type and you still type incredibly slow on the iphone.

its actually easy to type on this thing. Though the buttons are small, now that you have physical buttons, which means if you can type fast, you wont need to go landscape!

there may actually be 1000s of apps already out there, but the SDK is needed to apply them to the pre interface.

And these things will allow for actual programing - not some limited retarded iphone feature set and thats all.

the pre and iphone shouldn't even be compared. the keyboards suck on both (Pre is basically the shitty centro kb). the build quality is better on the iPhone, but the overall styling of the pre is better looking. Simple isn't everything.

The e-mail capabilities of Palm Pre are much better than in iPhone. The possibility to add video and music as attachments are something I really wanted my iPhone to do.

This is another video where you say "press", again, the Pre's screen is capacitive. You only need to touch the screen. Resistive screens require pressure.  If you press on a capacitive screen a lot of times the response will not be instant.

Atleast in Canada, the Pre should have a better plan. I am sure the iPhone in the US has better plans, and yes I do like the iPhone better. I am simply going to pick up a Pre unless iPhone comes out with some better plans for the 3GS.
