i go skiing there every year. and i do that run top to bottom, it is so icy that it breaks your skis and if you fall you slide on your ass all the way down the whole freaking run
i met him in wengen, he noticed that i had an american accent, and we started talking, and he was like "hey im andrew" and i was like lol dude, trust me, no introduction necessary. really nice guy
Baby Huey rules -he alone is worth watching Ski races. I always hate it when the commentator is talking meanwhile he screams the runners out of the starthouse
I work as a police officer now but used to race. I still have not been as "controlled scared" doing my job as I was standing in the start gate for some downhills. Nothing in the world quite like it.
Stay in one piece Warhorse, you have some wins ahead of you!
Thank you to who posted this. The sound brought me back.
Damn. Nice run. I used to race against him. It was obvious he would make it to the big time. He won this slalom race I was in at Stowe, VT by over 3 seconds.
This guy surely knows how to push the enwelope... Tight line for sure, risks taken and it paid of !!! Good luck, Andy, Best wishes for the upcoming races and seasons !!!
Thrilling ride - I was there - most electric run of the day. The crowd all noticed about 1/4 of the way through the run and went wild. Definetly a highlight. Andrew now has a fan base at Squaw Valley. Let it rip and be safe too :o)
Unreal....and there's more to come! The outer strength demonstrated is shadowed by this young man's inner strength and resolve....Watch out Ski World!
i used to race against andrew when we were younger, he has missed a gate in a race, turned back up the hill, gone around the gate, and beat the 2nd place finisher by two seconds. this was a slalom at the junior olympics might i add
If it weren't for that little spread he may have contended for the podium.
