yes but does the rotor disk tilt or is is at a fixed position where the pilot has to hold the brakes/decrease collective to hold the machine in one spot
those duck nearly crapped themselves. beautiful machine, beautiful pain job. only thing i don't understand is how wheeled helicopters taxi on the ground. do they get power from motors in the wheels or what?
alex, great to hear a medivac made the difference for you!, its only Victoria that have the Police doing medivac, they do a great job!, most of the other states have dedicated Medivac teams. Its a hard job!, its always graet to hear from a patient, as most of the time you don't know how they went (and sometimes you don't want to know), I got flattened by the aftermath of a patient who died during the flight, my Instructor was on that one. Great news about you!
i know i am well and still alive and i am glad people to reply to me i know i am sory that you lost 1 on your helicopter i know it is hard by car or any transport to hospital i am the lucky one to reach hospital after year i walk back to my home after my burnt
@1BustedMyth the police run the helicopter and provide the crewy/ observer, but there is still always an intensive care flight paramedic on board (not the chopper in the video the medivac one) plus there are now an additional four dedicated air ambulance helicopters run by Air Ambulance Victoria. Glad to here you came through alright Alex, they saved my brother also.
i had been on the helicopter it is been smooth ride all the way to hospital it take 10 mins from dandenong to alfred hospital when i had house on fire i had 80% burn and the look after me
we have the same machine here in northern England G-HEMS. Plus another two..an MBB105 "Bolko" and a NoTaR!! Part of the "Great North Air Ambulance Servise".
If it ever malfunctions and is going down in flames - be kind enough to not hit a residential area - explode and burn in a vacant paddock or such.
Otherwise Innocents might be hurt..

@ice8292 The whole disk tilts forwards/backwards/sideways as required.

@ice8292 It taxis the same way it moves forward in flight. i.e. The rotors tilt forward which pushes the air down and backwards.
