They lowered the prices for all, the 2 foot is 24 dollars.
I had the same problem with my iPod classic case, and it now connects to my iHome just fine. I had just stuck it on without a cover piece as the iHome said not to do, and it slightly ripped my silicone cover about a half a centimeter. After that happened, found cablejive and it's worth it. Removing the case was not an option for me, clean as can be!
I highly recommend buying this, it is really good!
What they don't say is that it will not allow you to control the iPod/iPhone. I wanted to use it to hide the power charger for my iPhone behind the dashboard in my car and use it with Harman Kardon D+P. As I understood from FAQ, this will not be supported. I've seen things like this on eBay, that at least are honest and inform you this feature is not supported.
i bought something similar from a moron named autoware302 on ebay for $20 and he sent me a wire that doesnt work. then he ignored all of my requests to return the item. it wasnt the same brand as this though.

@boojwahz: The CableJive cable is a different product from the autoware ones available on eBay. Beware of knock-offs.
