Well, I do not say it cuz of prices, theres really no much difference, at least here in mexico city, its only 4000 dollars of diference between the cupra and the FR.

But I should say the FR is enough~

I don't really think I need a cupra to pleasure my speeds, the FR would do...with a chip :P hahaha

Anyway, do NOT put a chip (parallel ECU-Engine Control Unit). Remap the engine (prefer REVO). With FR, you'll stay out of trouble. CUPRA has some bad points on the suspension and the CUPRA misfires.

Yes, you can put a chip. This is the "parallel ECU". The p.ECU provides the Leon's ECU with false measurments. This trick changes the car's behaviour. For example you press the throttle 50%. The leon's ecu sees the 50%. The parallel chip changes the 50% to 62% (example). It also changes other things. The result is more HP.

The leon car can be serial programmed (interface ODB). The "programm" gets flashed with new data. ...

Amazing. No test drive..nothing, just get it. It has the same exactly engine as the Golf GTI (and octavia RS), and although it is cheaper (the FR from the GTI) the suspension has better setup. If you buy SEAT then i recommend FR and not CUPRA. With FR you also have the DSG 6speed option! I got the manual because i love it (my next car will have.. DSG!)

After some miles, you can go for upgrades, like Program, Full exhaust, air filter etc...

Although SEAT is a small car company... with the Leon2 FR version ( CUPRA came right after ) kicked as*. The engine is a masterpiece (VAG group) the chassis is excellent (audi) but the suspension setup is SEAT's! (great believe me).

Cupra is stronger, but i would buy FR... again.

Run some miles first, and then remap the engine.

A program supported by SEAT is REVO. I advice to have this rather than anything else.
