The driving song Billy Spleen pushes down the high way like an old jacked up Chevy Blazer on 44 inch Super Swampers. The sheer driving mass of the tune is just waiting for something to break until it has it's moments like pushing in the clutch on the big truck and giving the drive train a rest only to then let out in first and continue on at speed.

In the song Mr. Amsterdam during the exquisite screaming part singing, "THIS WORLDS A SINKING SHIP!" the guitar seems to fit the drums like the mechanical meshing threads of a nut and grade 8 bolt holding together the vibratory rhythm of the tune.

How about "Hyper Insomnia" The lyric, "I'm Losing my mind, and I don't think you could save me this time" is an anthem for outcast picked on trouble youth who's tastes go beyond what MTV gen media tells them to like.

This review is horrible. The only soft song is pieces, but you imply that's what the whole album sounds like. And bringing avril lavigne in to this is irrelevant. This is IMO their best album.

Pieces isn't on this album. I'm comparing this to there later album which is was inffected byt he lead singer marrieing Avril. Which is where songs like Pieces came from.

You shoudl try listening to the review and looking at the album before you coment.

@blowshimselfupdude he didn't marry avril before writing chuck.. chuck came out in 2004 he married avril in 2006 and you should wait till you hear the new album that they've got coming up it's gonna be a lot heavier and it's gonna rule

Pieces was a track on Chuck and written two years BEFORE Whibley married Lavigne. I agree that that marriage was the cause of some of the poorest Underclass Hero songs, but Pieces is a quality track (and not even a love song).

The main problem with modern Sum 41 is the lack of Baksh's metal influences which gave the band some creative tension and individuality. Without him, they're pretty generic pop-punk.

No. I haven't even moved forward. This is why I hate manga each volume is 15 dollars and I read it in like 15 mins. So it doesn't seem worht hte money. And I can't really read online just becaus eI don't like to.
