i love this song...he does it so well... in the movie..hope floats...Sandra Bullock's character realizes just at the moment the song plays that her mother was right about Harry Connick Jr.'s character...That sometimes the man with the most layers and character isnt' the one with flash. but with the biggest soul.... my favorite Sandra Bullock movie...Kris Allen u sing with such honesty and humility and it comes through .....just beautiful...what a gift.

Everyone always loves the original singer's version better. With that being said, Kris still did an excellent job with this song. I think this version has a more pop feel to it. Thumbs up for me.

I agree with you. The original singer does not always sing or interpret a song best. I guess that has been proven by David Cook plenty of times in Season 7 and even Kris Allen upon singing "Heartless".

Garth Brooks and David Gates that's what he sounds like. I would purchase Kris Allen over Adam Lambert, who by the way, is another 'reminder of a young Elvis Presley.' Adam will have a career of course, but Kris will and should do all music that is pop and Christian music. His voice is soothing to listen to, and I can hear him singing songs for the soul. .
