It's comedy, it's mockery, it's observation of sound, it's tension, it's impatient rage, all emotions that come through the audience, as a result of music. Only difference is not one note needs to be played. It's the most open form of performance, in that the audience chooses with what emotion they want to spent the time with. It's a neutral piece.

A "full orchestral version"?! I could/can never understand people taking this piece literally. This is for the classical elitists. I love this conceptually, it's sarcasm and it's humor, sense of time and human struggle. It's really a great piece and the fart in the middle would be a wonderful addition to a recording of this piece. In fact I wonder if perhaps we need to start a series of recording of this piece where the musicians are not allowed to play but the audience is encouraged to make sounds using found objects, or perhaps only items purchased at the snack stand... a hot dog perhaps
