I saw them open up for Quicksand in Hollywood CA in 93 i think, and I remember Zack De La Rocha at the very front, screaming the lyrics. Kick ass show!
The band was great! Used to follow them around back in the day. Mike Starkey is one of the best guitarists around. One of Rage Against the Machine's favorite bands as well.
It's a real shame that searching for Stanford Prison Experiment brings you to a video of a suck-ass grindcore band (Although that's redundant as all grindcore sucks ass).
I only got to see them once (w/Rage Against the Machine & Girls Against Boys), but it was very memorable. I have since hunted down all of their music. Did an album with the song "Overboard" ever surface? It was after the Wrecreation days, and they had been on a hiatus or whatever for a while, but an mp3 of "Overboard" came out with news an album was in the works.
One of the great forgotten gems of the 90s. I was fortunate to have seen them close to 10 times over the years & they were amazing.. Their albums are great too but once you saw them live, it really put them in perspective & you'd never hear them the same..
great band that i discovered late, unfortunately. a definite pre-cursor to rage against the machine, post-punk political rock at it's finest. thanks for sharing this!
thank you for posting this. i loved this band ever since i saw the video for "disbelief" on jbtv in chicago. i saw them open for rage at the aragon and before that just missed them opening for local h at metro. i got to talk to the drummer selling merch though and he was real cool.

I concur ! Saw them twice, once opening for Rage at The Shamrock, and once in Bakersfield.
