in training this tactic may not look to work very well but if it were real keep in mind the enemy does not want to die anymore than you this tactic is designed to keep the enemy in cover while advancing on their position the enemy would only be able to pop shots which are not accurate sense you are constantly changing position while the enemies heads are down
Great movement guys, and good communication too! Keep in mind that when behind better cover you want to change firing position from time to time if you have to stay there very long, so the OPFOR doesn't get a bead on you. Go to knee, prone, left side of tree, right side, etc. =)
this tactic works but they have to pick better cover and they should consider flanking one lays suppressive fire the other flanks but this tactic is real world just don't stay exposed long and thin about where your next position is going to be before you move which has better cover

After watching two of these vids(I can only explain it by using the train wreck analogy), I'm gonna suggest these guys simply give up, and put us outta our collective misery
Lethal Velocity. In the SCAA all guns are restricted to be under 550fps, unless you are a SCAA certified sniper. Different fps has different engagement limitations. Not a bad drill but not the best for attacking a hot area.
i agree, i feel that if this team was attacking a stationary enemy or bunkered position they would have been screwed with this tactic. i dont really like how they kind of just dive behind cover, it takes them way to long to recover. and speaking of cover some of the cover they pick would not protect them at all
well there is no "lethal" velocities, unless your talking about 500 fps. but the reason airsoft was created was to train with "non lethal" velocities so there is no lethal velocity in airsoft noob
@ElfredBumm So, uhm, lethal velocities as in 1,500 fps with metal bb's? I know that 900+ with metal is used for small game hunting...Also, you can swear on the internet, your mom's not watching.
this tactic is called bounding its used by the US military to advance under fire. works good if done right. i have 11 years military service two in Iraq
i'm a vet too, where were you when you were in iraq? i was near fallujah and al ramadi. this was during 04 though, when it was a really crappy place to be :(

awesome tactic man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now do they drop all the way down because of low cover, or is it part of the drill to make it longer and more complicated movement?
jakdethe 4 years ago
Hmm... I would say it's to make yourself a smaller target so you don't get hit... I'll give you points for trying to be funny tho

Thanks, its weird you just replied, my squad did this today, I thought I'd try it on my guys, and it was pretty intersting.
