No it was never was intended to be a competition video at all,

I had seen someone do this on YT with the song, the sound bites edited differently (and way better than mine), so me being me, thought id do this :) only problem was the only video footage of lionel and dianas i could find was whats here, so had to try fit the Lionel/Diana video with the studio version of theirs, and the Luther/Mariah live version.seems a lot of ppl do think its a 'Vrs' vid, :))

I prefer Luther & Mariah's version. Both are much better singers than Lionel & Diana and their voices are just amazing. In terms of interpretation, Lionel & Diana kept it tender and intimate while Mariah & Luther made it more passionate. They give different feelings but neither interpretation is wrong.
