the 07-08 zx6r is nice and all but its a step back from the 05-06 in performance and looks.if they dont bring the 636 back they better come out with a 750 or 800 or something midrange between a 600 and 1000 so you dont have to give up the handling of a 600 for the power of a 1000.

2nd.  With sportrider or motorcyclist magizine saying that 750 was the "perfect displacement" I dont see why Kawi, Yamaha, or Honda bring a 750 back.

africa prob has no noise and emision laws so the models they produce dont have useless crap restricting their power.i know with the 05-06 there is a 9hp diference between the euro and north american model.

True, the Euro ECU map doesn't close the exaust to comply with noise restirciton. But most American Kawi riders know you can toggle the Euro map by doing the "jumper mod", where connecting two wires underneath the seat will set the ECU to Euro mode. Super easy, super loud, and you get to free up that robbed hp.

Yes i have had a ZX9 ZX6 and currently own a ZX10, i have also had a Honda in the past.... big mistake as they are BORING. wake up and smell the coffee Kawasakis put the fun in to biking,Hondas take the fun out of it........

The R6 is all top end, the Quakka has a fantastic mid range as well as a good top end, and ample pulling away power.

Not as good as the 06 636 bike though, imo.

cbr600rr smoked the zx6 on just about every shootout for '07. Motoworld even called the cbr the best 6 of all time. Almost every shootout across the internet had the cbr at 1st place and the zx and gixxer were pretty interchangable for 3rd and fourth, so all you noobs saying the zx6 did good in the shootouts need to actually research before you post bullshit.

I'm a pretty die-hard Kawi fan and the 07 600RR is an awesome bike.

But honestly, change the pipe. Kawi has been way behind in building clean burning engines and the pipes on 06-07-08 bikes are all pretty restrictive.. Between the little euro mod and a new pipe the 07 6R is a killer

US Models shut the powervalve at high RPMs due to U.S. noise restrictions. The Jumper mod keeps the exaust powervalve open at higher RPMs. Bridging the green/dark green and black/yellow wires in the box under the seat catty corner in the connector defaults the ECU to European specs. +1 hp, +1 ft./lb. Top end gain.

the new 07 ninja has low bottom end power but is far from week and heavy i have one and love my bike and i have out ran the new cbr rr already it is mainly in the rider and mcusa is mainly just an opinion everyone has them

I agree that the ninja is far from heavy and weak, but when comparing bikes this close in caliber small things have to come out. the ZX does feel slightly heavier and less powerful than say the new CBR (which in my opinion, is the best supersport I have ever ridden) Obviously if you are out running the new CBR you are most likely a better rider, and so is the case if you outrun any one of these bikes with any other of these bikes, i'd say they are that close.

im just letting u know b/c i just read the review they say that the new zx6r had outstanding cornering and they run about the same and the cbr and the gixxer but if u reprogram the ecu for euro you can get another 5hp so in that case you should pretty much have the fastest 600 but most of it is going to be on the rider and your weight but dude i want kawi so bad man have fun riding yours b/c i rode one and loved it of my boys 07 gixxer but it is all your u want
