the only picture i've seen so far of LRO was a photo being zoomed in gradually every 3 seconds until they change it to a green and red picture that we cant see shit to hide the pixels and not let everyone know that its a photo and not video.

Yes we did go, and denying it is pretty ignorant in insulting to all the people who worked on these incredible projects. The reason we didn't go back was because people lost interest after apollo 11 and so the government basically stopped funding the program (going to the moon ain't your typical road trip, its really expensive) which is why they also stopped at apollo 17 (suppose to go to 20). Also we have done other things in the mean time (skylab, mir, ISS, mars rovers, new horizons etc etc)

80sIndulge. The reason they stopped going to the Moon was that the russians gave up and accepted that the americans had won the space race. They had been competing ever since fifties. And in America most ordinary people thought that there were much more important things to spend money on than going to the Moon. The moon-missions were extremely expensive. Cheers!  : )

Without a doubt the Apollo missions were real, we really went. Hundreds of hours of video, thousands of photos, hundreds of thousands of pages of documents attest to the reality. The LRO pics show everything exactly where it should be.

Why haven't we gone back? Well, NASA has only so much money, and there really isn't all that much going for the moon.. not that much great science to be done.. The little money NASA gets is much better spent on things like Hubble and Cassini which have provided us with a wealth of information about the universe around us. If NASA had the budget the military does, I'm sure we would have gone back, but NASA only gets about 15 billion bucks a year, that's the price of about 30 F-22 Raptors.
