  • Okay I thought it was supposed to be any HONEY in an HONEYCOMB CAKE

  • @akmalhakimvlog the "honeycomb" refers to the honeycomb-like trails in the cake itself.

  • Tried making this cake today... It turned out beautifully light, fluffy & moist!!!! All gone within half hour :0)

  • I'm trying this recipe today. I've been finding this cake recipe and many of them use to much sugar and condensed milk. Maybe if any of you are trying this for the first time or have tried it before, you could add rose flavour/essence to the cake mixture to rid the eggy smell from the cake (this I found in another honeycomb cake recipe but that one has too much sugar and butter in it that I didn't try)

    is. Sir, it is such a perfect recipe, it does'nt need anything else. It has such a

    clean & springy texture it's easy to swallow & leaves the mouth so clean-----

    no mushiness, no sticky debris, & so delicious. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ItalyPaul the Malaysian honeycomb cake keeps about 2 days. That's about how long it takes for us to finish it, it's so good! ;-)

  • heya, i've tried this cake and i really love it!! a very good recipe and i would definitely recommend it. the only problem i had is my cake only had the honeycomb structure for its bottom 1/3 and the upper 2/3 is just fluffy like a sponge cake. any advice?

    When we cook the honeycomb cake, it turns out the same for us as you. Perhaps we are beating the egg and condensed milk too much, adding too much air to the batter. Try just using a hand whisk to make the batter

  • i tried before and ended up as what sher0106 faced... it was due to the caramel was not folded into the batter completely.

  • I can't fasten the procedure, but I can fasten a seat belt! ;-p

    You need the hour to allow the honeycomb to develop and the cake to bake properly. You could try and halve the recipe, but I wouldn't know what that would do to cut the time.

  • It's not chocolate guys, but if you ask me, those are one of the best cakes I've ever eaten. Just top it with some icing on top and it's perfect!
