I just received your latest book : "Stay in the Fight". Outstanding piece of work (just like your carbine book). I liked the lip balm bit...Cheers! Mike
@vipprotector We try to keep a straight wrist and not have a pre broken wrist giving up weapons retention. I prefer to raise the elbow to allow for this. Accomplishes the same task without the broken wrist.
Great DVD and an excellent companion to "Stay in the Fight" (which is a must-read to anyone interested in pistol fighting - probably the single most comprehensive resource I have ever come across on the subject). Love the "fundamentals" breakdown on the DVD - would like to see more for handgun and rifle! Keep up the great work!
OK, I'm not and don't pretend to be a navy seal or delta force operator,,,,,,, and I don't hunt F*#@ing zombies! I'm a conceal carry holder in N.C. that look's to improve my shooting skills for recreation and self defense. This DVD is the best $15.00 I spent on training DVD's! Viking Tactic's breaks down the common mistakes people make getting on target. The shooting drills with help challenge & improve the new and professional shooter. Thanks Viking Tactics!
Just got your the Pistol and rifle dvd's the other day. They are outstanding! I can't wait to put them into practice on the range. I have one VTAC barricade built and in the process of building another. Hope to meet you in person in November out in Colorado for the leadership seminar and Carbine 1.5.
kyle I love your products there addicting I keep buying and before I get the item I buy somthing else but I wanted to get the the vtac cobra belt but one your sold so I'll wait and the question I had was what is the sizing how it work my pant size is 33" so do I get that exact size or bigger and if I do get bigger can I still drop down to the smaller sizes thanks stay safe
@miltnxc123 The best thing to do is to measure over your pants and the belt you would wear in your pants, the belts are the length that is specified so there should not be a problem if you get that measurement.
Kyle I'm just wondering what made you choose the S&W M&P series as your pistol of choice. Also what are your feelings on running a 1911 series weapon through your pistol courses as opposed to DA only type pistols. Great products by the way I hope to take one of your courses when I return to the Bragg area after I return from where I'm stationed now.
@JayH76459 I was a huge Glock fan - and I still am. However, the M&P is just easier to shoot and reload. The 40 S&W version doesn’t bang up your hands. The 40 M&P is not as finicky as the Glock 22 with regard to ammo and using a frame mounted light. There's also a version with the frame mounted thumb safety which I really like, takes me back to my 1911 days!
No problem with shooting a 1911 in our classes, just bring a few extra mags. Bring what you carry, we will make it work.
Thanks for answering my question what you said definitely makes sense. Just out of curiosity what kind of holsters are you running out there on your courses for your M&P series or even for 1911"s (both of them are mounted with a light of course). Thanks again for doing what you do.
@HST40 Either way I am good with them. He HK Mag release is a good design. I shoot a M&P more than any other pistol and I really like its oblong release shape.
@VikingTactics i have been keeping my eyes out looking for this all over fayetteville all i found was the rifle dvds that i have very good dvds still waiting for the pistol one
Looks good. Interested in hearing your view on the different school of thoughts regarding shooting and moving. Some say that in a gun battle you'd move as quickly as possible from point a to b in a full sprint and trying to shoot while moving is not practical (slows you down and leaves you out in the open for too long). Obviously you incorporate shooting while moving drills. What's your reasoning? Thanks and Im looking forward to this release.
@blacksonblacks This is actually a pretty easy question to answer. When conducting room clearing operations, you must move, speed is your security. You must move through the door so the number two man can enter, therefore there really is no choice.
If I start receiving fire in the open, absolutely, run for cover, unless you can run and shoot. I prefer the scalded dog technique.
@DKtrecour If it is the DVD’s you are talking about then Yes, if there is other gear you are interested in please send us an email from our web page with specifics.
I wanna buy the DVD... but gotta finish the books first.
Im so glad you also write books, Way better than sitting in front of the TV, but having the dvd as a visual learn as well is great.
Your company is killing it, And Vtac is the only product i will fight with

At 1:05, the shooter's fingers are interlaced like a golfer's grip.
Is this for a compact?
A pistol retention method (it was shown right after you pulled the pistol from his grip)?

@torinhill You will have to watch the videos to see that one. We use it for Long Range and Prone shooting.

Did I see SUL incorporated into one of the drills when he turned 180 and moved the other way?
I like position SUL a lot for my job. What do you think of it Kyle?
