@sepptonia No, people are in love with an image, an aesthetic, they don't have the stomach for the reality. Fascism is reduced to a fetish... THAT is what people love.
@warjunky444 No that is what infantile sad people 'love', but would any artist be able to love such a pathetic fanbase enough to continue producing music for them?
@IronYouthRadio Yes and I'm sure the composers of the past put together their greatest works with the powdered fops in the front row in mind. I think its more a case of 'you don't have to be a nazi to love this band, but if you are, the more the merrier'. Hence why bands are rarely too strong in their public criticisms of fascism and national socialism. Surely if what you say was true, there would be a lot more neo-fascists running around instead of the scattering of trogs?
How did he make of living from painting for 20 years if he joined the military at age 25? Who's doing second hand potholed guessing now? Also, nice nonsensical rant you had there. Listen to germania as I said before, listen how laibach themselves speak of germany's nazi past. I'll just stand here and laugh at you.
Because he started painting as a schoolboy and was a war artist during the war you dipshit. fuck you people are dumb, and you have avoided the question. Laibach are fascists.
@IronYouthRadio and where the hell do you hear, seee that laibach are fascists??? they are everything but that....Cluzore, try to understand their sarcasm and irony or you are so shizoid that you just cant....Laibach was always about PPL, Love and TRUTH nothing less , nothing more....
@IronYouthRadio This is for you. One time they were questioned of that and their answer went like this: "Were are as fascist as Hitler was a painter".
Now interpretate that. On a second thought, NOT EVERYONE loves fascism secretly. That's just a fucking retarded assumption. And that kind of assumptions lead the world to where he is now.
What else is there to interpret. Histler was an artist, so were laibach incidently. 'What we do is art, and if you want to call it fascism, fine.'
Not everyone secretly loves fascism; wasters, spastics, immigrants, acid freaks, liberals, and other unscrupulous bastards - these people don't like fascism, everyone else who would like a healthy society are supporters of fascism.
@IronYouthRadio He got rejected from the vienna art academy, the same one that later on accepted feces drawn paintings, and blamed it on jewish teachers. Let that sink in for a moment.... People shoveling crap paint better than hitler. So no, I wouldn't call him a painter.
Potholed generalised knowledge not relevant to the point you are trying to make. All that you are saying, which is in part myth; (like the fact he was rejected by jews or that he blamed them) says is he wasn't successful. By that standard Van gough was not a painter, nor were the millions of people who tried to make a trade out of it - including hitler for at least 20 years of his life.
You know what Laibach are really doing? making fun of people like you - people who pontificate and intellectualise and second guess. It is irony that you laugh and call me ignorant when you are arguing the impossible. You can argue all the wind you can into your sails, the fact remains that you don't KNOW. You don't KNOW what laibach really stand for, if anything. All I know is that I like it, and that makes you mad. The joke is on you.
This song is so good and I lost my cassette of Kapital yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaarrrrs ago. Ive really missed this song. Whoever posted this song is..... Fucking awesome for doing so!
This is my most favourite Laibach song. If Laibach ever collaborated with John Barry to compose a James Bond theme, this is what the result would sound like. Now that Laibach is doing the soundtrack for the movie Under The Iron Sky, whose first trailer song has a similar feel as Steel Trust, I would love it if they actually could use Steet Trust in the movie some how.
This is one of my favorite songs, too. And it's buried at the end of (only some versions of!) one of the weaker Laibach albums, an album that this song has little in common with. Kapital is interesting, but how many people are really going to listen to it all the way through and discover this gem? I owned it for a long time before making it that far.
They should have made at least one album as Germania, with "Steel Trust" a lead single.
Thank you for posting this. It's one of my favorite songs. My Laibach Kapital cassette tape is currently stored at my mother's house, but I wanted to hear the song right this moment and managed to find it here on YouTube.
Laibach goes Pet Shop Boys! Or actually this sounds even more like Liza Minnelli produced by Pet Shop Boys though Anja Rupel's voice doesn't sound like Minnelli.
@Roope1975 all i can think of is liza in cabaret after reading your comment. youve definitely altered my perception of one of my favorite songs, a song ive cherished for almost twenty years.
Ironic irons erroneously enraged.
Oh and Laibach may look like fascists, act like fascists, and talk like fascists but don't let that fool you. They are fascists.

You can't make ironic fascist music because secretly everyone love fascism. Might as well accept it and dispense with ironic poses.
Sorry fags.
