And look! At 1:28 its Bob Newhart !! What the heck is going on here. Is this a prog rock group, or a bunch of TV/movie actors trying to be rock stars, lol !
It costs too much for them to cross the pond with all that equipment and do a full U.S. tour without significant financial backing. Without adequate record company promotion and/or radio airplay to generate album sales, it's simply not viable from a financial standpoint. They'd lose money.
That said, I personally would love to see another small tour partially financed by the fans like the TSE tour about 10 years ago. That was amazing. My guess is that all they'd have to do is ask. :-)
No problem. In various interviews over the years, the lads in the band have discussed the difficulties of touring the U.S. without sufficient financial support. For whatever reasons, their record companies have never been willing to put forth a dedicated, sustained effort to promote them here, and corporate rock radio ignores them, so the fan base isn't large enough to support a full tour by itself. It's a shame, because they could have a huge audience here if more people could hear their music.
there are 2 types of msarillion both great but i have noticed on early tracks steves gi=uitar solo,s are more defined , still what the hell the band are great
All these ppl comparing new eras with old eras, the chocie is have a new era or just have no more Marillion, not have a Marilliom with Fish or have a Marillion with Hogarth. this ain't a bad tune, You're gone is an absolute tune tho!
Every song written with Fish gave me more as every Album with Hogarth-Sorry Guys but I miss the powerful theatralic mystery feeling in these new Songs.
Love Marillion since day one...seen them in San Fransico California USA. Tight small venue. A nite to remember. Want to see them again. Even though the old singer "Fish" had a voice too and Marillion had it's "STYLE" at that time that was GREAT also, Steve Hogarth adds a different DEPTH and CHARACTER that is his own to this FANTASTIC BAND.

Doesn't that look like Bob Newhart at the 1:28 mark? I guess since he's not acting anymore he decided to become a roadie for Marillion! LMAO!

thanks for giving me a reason why they don't tour the U.S., I won't hold losing money against them.
