I have no idea who this guy is. I have no idea what he is doing. I hope that it's something for alternative fuel.
Anyway, this guy is hilarious! What a blast I had watching this! Actually, I was hoping for a big explosion, but I'm glad, "it was a success."
I hope this guy makes a billion dollars. He's great entertainment. Funny though, I think I had the same concerned look on my face watching this video that his son had looking at his mechanism prior to lift off on the last.
Just have a question. Have you tried a spark arrestor from an oxy/acetylin tank? I don't know the cost, but might be worth the try, unless you have already done so.
Steel wool will burn. Like others have said, use fine bronze wool, do an e-bay search and get it there cheap. Good seller there, altho I forgot his name.
Good work you are doing tho, but be MUCH MORE CAREFUL! Like Sid said, success, cause you are still in one piece luckily!
The prob with steel wool is it burns like crazy when exposed to oxy. A better choice would be bronze wool or even better an air stone from a fish tank maybe. My ears are still ringing from my first BIG BOOM. ;) he he he.
Well, that worked heaps better than my first test...BLAAAAAAMMMMM. No top left on the bottle,
scorced eyebrows, and real sore eardrums for a couple of days.
I am now going to a double water filter canister set, the first will contain the cell, the second the bubbler and the gas will exit via a 1 way valve. I plan to force a rubber bung into the top of the bubbler as well, for extra pressure relief... I rate your test a1 for safety, compared to mine.
I guess to really test this you would need to do it many times
preferably outside of your house, and with equiptment you are not afraid to loose. Maybee with an electric ignightor and running off an 12 V battery. But great idea to test, but I would not be so close myself, I might get a slow burning fuse or something that keep me away from harms way. ( yes, I am chicken, and yes I have all my fingers :)

SS wool is a good conductor, and that is one reason why we use it as electrodes, Recommend bronze wool (fine), bronze doe does not produce sparks.

I just gotta say, good job. The fish canister sounds like it will work.
