Although there had been various Cat Woman’s through the Batman series and currently two movies that made it on to the big screen, Michelle Pfeiffer who was indeed hot as well as Halle Berry who truly up the game when it came to wearing the cat suit. Having said that I must admit Halle’s movie sucked even though she looked good in the costume. However when it’s all said and done it’s Eartha Kitt who most people will remember as Cat Woman regardless of whether you preferred her in the role or not.

I saw Lee Meriweather's and Julie Newmar's Catwomans and too be fairly honest, NONE of them come remotely close to Eartha's performance at all. Sure both of them had sex appeal but that's it, none of their had the feline veracity to the character. I'm still iffy about Anne Hathaway playing her, I believe Zoe Saldana would have been the best choice for a modern Catwoman

@ss6truks - Eartha Kitt made the role her own with her voice... and her rolling of the "R" - which is simply perfect. The other actresses playing "Catwoman" were VERY good, but it's the R-rolling that is the icing on the cake.

I know people are just going to hate this comment, but to be honest Eartha Kitt is one my least favorite Catwomans ever, I don't really like her really over the top performances(I know the show was really over the top, but I just don't think she really pulled It off), and I still can't find her remotely hot or sexy eh I just can't I don't really find how soo many people can. Gabriel Union has less of the look than Kerry Washington but could probably be more fierce. I wish Aaliyah was alive, judging from her performance in the Queen of the Damned, she would be perfect.

@hydrolito that's a great idea. I think it's funny how, even though we speculate that Anne is emulating Julie Newmar, her styling looks most like Eartha Kitt when she was catwoman. If you watch "Love and Other Drugs", you would see another side of Anne that is a little darker. But it's still not Michelle Pfeiffer or Eartha Kitt. I wasn't happy when I heard they chose Anne to be Catwoman.
