Everything this guy says is true. Pity the video is so short, there are alot of other ways to check out would-be tenants. People cannot escape their past -- and it's unlikely the time they skip on rent, trash your place, etc. is their FIRST time. Disagree that LLs performing due diligence are "nosy/weird" -- they are essentially planning to LEND the tenant the equivalent of the rent amount every month, and just wanna see whether the applicant is good for it over the long haul. Only makes sense.

Any landlord that eagerly demands references from you regarding previous landlords or employers should send off alarm bells in your head. Means they are either touchy, wierd, or just too overprotective, or even worse nosy. If the vibe isnt relaxed, stay the hell away! Alot of nuts out there.
