  • i just got sonar and it doesn't work on mac only on pc great move cakewalk lol almost every musician uses a macbook and they dont make it compatible on mac fuck me lol

  • can you multitrack record with this mixer via usb into daw system. cause ive been seeing alot of these usb mixers that dont allow multitracking lately

  • Could you please please help me? I've bought and had to return a multitude of usb/firewire mixers because i have tried looking for one that can record tracks separately and simultaneously so for instance if i were recording a drum kit, then kick on channel one would show up as audio track 1, snare on channel two would show up as audio track two and overheads channels 3 and 4 showing up as audio tracks 3 and 4 in the DAW, does this mixer have this capability? i need to know before buying

  • how do you control the usb level to the computer? sorry im confused

  • Can I connect 2 turnatables to this mixer for dijing too?

    Thanks

  • Can I connect 2 turnatables to this mixer for dijing too?

    Thanks

  • i have a zed12fx... why are the smaller buttons like the phantom power almost flushed to the surfaced? I need a pin to press it.

  • So when you are connected via USB to your computer, do you have control over each separate channel? Or can you only record the main mix, I wasn't really sure. Thanks and God Bless

  • @chingumingu. Yes you can have 4 separate monitor mixes. This great mixer has 4 AUX outputs, so each one can have their own mix.

  • 2:55 ? ? ?

  • your popping like crazy..you need to use that pop filter....its not a good selling point....

  • Can anybody tell me whether or not it's possible to hook up a usb condenser mic into this mixer?

  • hey , is it possible to have 4 monitor mixes. using this... as in If i have a Guitar,Bass,Roland TD4 kit, and a vocal mike plugged in, is it possible to have 4 headphones -one for each performer..

  • @chingumingu

yeah but you will have to use and extra headphone amp/splitter...

  • maybe he should of used the mixer for his mic to cut out the pop.

  • @cl8yt - yeah, how funny, that's what I was thinking - specially as they are the pros!! Oh well...

  • can this be used with logic?

  • Can someone explain the capabilities of USB 2.0 on a mixer. How many channels can I record at once, What quality. I'd like to find a mixer to do live sound (+recording) as well as record jams. I think a 16 channel would do it.

  • The Zed 14 only gives you 2 record channels over USB.

The Zed R16 has 18 channels over firewire, but it is 2 grand. The M-Audio NRV-10 is a lot smaller with 10 firewire channels, it is only about 700 bucks.

  • Nasty. Did anyone see the dirt under the guys nails?

  • thats because he is actually working and not writing pathetic messages on youtube

  • could you do a break down on the pa12cp i have one but im sure theres more i use on it then what im doing at the mo

  • We found it ironic that there was a lot of popping as well. A low cut filter does not eliminate the popping, just rolls the lows off a bit. You will still have popping in your higher frequencies.

It all comes down to PROPER MIC PLACEMENT. Slightly off-axis to avoid the breath pops and still get all of the sound.

  • @progearwarehouse could you clarify "off-axis"

  • hahahahaha 00.54 "ppppops from the microphone"

  • Comment removed

  • You don't just use a shotgun mic to remove plosives. If you're doing live sound, the singer WILL have a handheld or lavalier mic, not shotgun. This looks like an awesome mixer!

  • Why make it complicated with the low cut filter. They could have just used a shotgun mic for a directional recording. This would cut out the plosives completely and still give him a clear recording. I have done this myself before and worked really well.

  • USB 2.0 is just as good if not better than firewire. I read alot of people having latency issues with firewire then trying usb 2.0 and not having any problems at all.

  • Not really, USB is faster than Firewire 400. When latency is involve, your computer power is the one who answers.

  • It should never be USB when it comes to computer recording. FireWire always

  • Oh dear!

The audio representation was to put it frankly , untoward!

I checked out five mixers and this example wiped me out.

No thanks; simply put if you can't control your popping as you were recorded, then .....

  • The video host needs to engage the low cut filter to cut out some of those microphone p-pops ! Would have been cool if he A / B'd his voice with/without the low cut filter. He's poppin more than a Justin Timberlake background dancer.
