  • Fantastic, I just love this, Very well done indeed

  • Excellent!

  • Astounding

  • That is the most wonderful, incredible labor of Who-love I have ever seen. Moved me to tears. And that's not easy to do.

  • I think it is ten bilion or eighty billion pities that this story is incomplete, and we cannot have a dvd release of this story.I can only hope that one day it becomes possible, to make animated versions of the two lost episodes like they have done with the Invasion that was bloody good in billions of ways.I also wish all the existing Dr Who stories, would be released on audio as television soundtracks like all the missing and incomplete stories have been. I would love to see, that happen.

  • Goodness, I LOVE that Servo Robot! And its cousins, the Quarks! RETRO CHUNKY ROBOTS RULE, I say! (And why not?!) This is as much fun as your recent ALIEN meets THE WHEEL IN SPACE trailer! Wondrous :-)

  • You made that?? absolutely indredible Well Done!

  • Fantastic, what a cool little pic, how come i missed this!

  • That. Was. Brilliant!

  • Wow. How brilliant if obscure. What's next? The Celestial Toymaker and Yellow Submarine?

  • Wow, I just don't have the words to express my joy at watching this video, great technical skill allied to a wonderful sense of humour and detailed accurate graphics. Pure genius.

  • Dear God. Please, someone, get TardisTimegirl to make a Doctor Who game! This is the absolute best! The BBC, employing people who make shit graphics and shit games on shit consoles. Tut!

    This is the real deal!

  • Absolutely brilliant! Merry Christmas to you and have a fantastic 2011!!

  • Perfection!

  • Wow! That was very clever.. if anyone should be animated the old junked episodes.. it should be you :)

  • Simply breathtaking. Thank you.

  • OMG that was so epic!! I could never dream of doing anything as good as this!!!!!

  • TardisTimegirl should be doing the next animated Doctor Who instead of whoever did Dreamland.

  • Astonishing!

  • Incredible work. I can't speak highly enough.

  • Absolutely amazing!!! It would be even better if you recreated the lost episodes. That would be true genius. But what youve done there is amazing.

  • bloody brilliant!

  • Totally mindblowing! Love it!

  • This is absolutely incredible.

  • Great fantastic, best ever Dr Who theme.

  • Best Doctor Who/2001 tribute ever.

  • just so, so good...!

  • ooh looky a chumbly!

  • If i were a big-wig at BBC Wales, then I'd be giving you a job!

    Splendid, absolutely stupendous!

  • Absolutely incredible. A great recommendation by SFX. The level of detail, especially, in the Doctors' faces, is stunning; in fact, this is better animated than Dreamland, by far.

  • I was lucky enough to work on both of these shows....(it makes me old)

    Aitch,

  • Respect!

You wouldn't happen to have a copy of Wheel in Space laying around would you? ;)

  • Amazing saw this recomended in SFX mag brilliant a lot of work has gone into this will subscribe and wait in anticipation for any future works.

  • That gave me tingles right down my spine. Amazing stuff, It is stunning! If you do another one I will be over the moon.

    THANK YOU!!!!

  • Absolutely.

    Brilliant.

Please do more like this, I know it must take forever to do but you did a GREAT job here!

  • OMG!! That was friggen incredible!! Lol. Those are the Cybermen I want to see in the new series, not those manufactured robot drones. (I know that's the whole idea of the Cyberman, but the old ones were far creepier). Excellent animation! Lol to Matt Smith at the end.

  • Super piece of work. Imaginative, witty and well executed. Thanks for sharing it with us!

  • okay comment 158 HOLY GOD THAT WAS AWESOME, this was so beautifully done, you should get awards...or a job at the beeb. Animated cgi dr who, that job should have gone to you instead dreamland would have been sooooo much better

  • Quality

  • Wow!....Just wow! Amazing work!

  • Wow, that was outstanding work! My hat is off to you, Tardis Timegirl! Brava!

  • 1:51 had me in stitches!

  • Ok.. This is getting a bit stupid now! If ever there was a piece of animation that showed the BBC up for a cheap skate crank organisation, this is it!

Sorry, I was trying to sound original, since everything else has been said! The Wheel in Space is a remarkable story full of atmosphere. This Video captures not only that, but also the uneasy & yet mollifying ethos of Kurbricks Masterpiece!

Wud have been good to see Jon Pertwee tho! Ok Ok! It's amamzing!

  • That was just stunning, bloody brilliant. Love your work!

  • That was awesome!!!!!!

  • Blooming amazing.

  • Brilliant!! And it all made perfect sense to me!

  • That was so cool! I was so impressed with the animation and troughty1000 is right! The BBC should hire you as an animator! :)

  • Blooming heck, this is good, and nothing so surreal as having Matt Smith in an egg orbiting the Earth. Hartnell in the bed and the Hal Servo Robot were also great ideas. Well done, I'm trying to see how you'll outdo yourself for next time. :)

  • Holy crap! Matt Smith was v creepy as the Star Child! This must have taken ages. Truly incredible.

  • Brilliant.

  • Amazing animation - especialy the faces and the Cybermen! And the funny robot.

  • Very nice work. Well done.

  • Clever and beautifully done. Kudos! Also... I know Matt Smith is awfully young, but an EMBRYO?!?! LOL!!!!

  • You, my friend, are quite the artist. I understand the crappyness of some productions, since obviously they haven't hired you. The quality of your work is amazing, but it's your sense of timing that impresses me the most. Keep up the good work. In the meantime, I am honoured to consider myself a fan!

  • Just watched this again and I have to say it was even more bloody amazing than the first time!!

The BBC should hire you right now to animate the lost episodes of The Wheel in Space!

  • My friend is soooo clever! I loved this, and I too agree that you should have done Dreamland, and the BBC should certainly hire you is some vein. Dr Who looks sooo good when YOU do it!!! Well done, Claire x

  • Loved Matt Smith at the end!

  • Fantastic. No, wrong regeneration..Brilliant!

  • Breathtaking! I wish I saw more videos of this quality

  • I think I'm in love... ;)

  • Just had this referred by a friend.

    EXCELLENT.

I love the Quark's feet kicking back as it sets off after the astronaut. And Troughton asleep in the Pan Am clipper is just fantastic. Well done, you!

Lee Sullivan (occasional DWM comics artist)

  • It is not a Quark, it is a Servo Robot actually. Sorry to sound like a "know it all" lol

  • Good spot! Ha! What can I say; the shame will never leave me. And if I had read someone else's comment calling it a Quark I'd have given the same response! I was tired and had just spent an evening drawing an Ice Warrior grabbing Victoria. Mistakes happen :)

But a treat to get to see this again; the 3D modeling of the faces is very impressive. Unlike my memory LOL

  • That's ok. But I agree, it is great to see these video's this guy truly has talent and I hope he makes a lot more or even animates entire missing stories.

  • @MrCrazyfool22 Did you read the name? He's a she.

Hats off again Timegirl. I keep sending folk the link to this.

  • Perfect.

  • its not a quark

  • Masterful! (no pun intended)

  • That was superb! My eyes are leaking...

  • Fuck. Incredible.

  • i agree. totally

  • Oh my god! I was almost crying when this film finished! You are amazing! That was beautiful! I'm a huge Doctor Who fan and I clicked on this having no idea what it was till I'd watched it, and the sight of the Second Doctor resting whilst his sonic floated around just...resonated...

Maybe it's because I'm watching it late at night when I'm tired and my mind's going mad, but this film was really an experience!

I love your work! Please make more who themed videos!

  • i like this its very good m8 i also liked the matt smith CGI

  • Thanks for combining my favorite show and favorite movie of all time! Best moment is at the end, totally appropriate as the Star CHILD. (Still have high hopes for the new season.)

  • AWESOME!! I finally understand 2001

    and

    I LOVE the TARDILITH!!

  • 17000 views in two week.

    Iz - you go, girl.

    STUNNING.

  • really quite astounding, and rather touching. I'm not even that much of a Who fan but I found this quite brilliant in both idea and execution. Great stuff!

  • That is just superb!

  • Very cool. The Robot looked fine to me. How long did that take?

  • This is incredible. Ten times better than the animation they used in Dreamland. Just...wow. :3

  • I'm at a loss for words. That was one of the most spectacular thiings I've ever seen!

Bravo! I'd give you ten stars if I could but you'll have to settle for 5.

Thanks for posting this incredible video.

  • EPIC!

  • Really well done. My only critic would be the metal on that HAL-Robot. Looks too CG (maybe specular and/or reflection too high). Everything other: perfect.

  • Very awesome vid, found you via Phil Plait's BadAstronomy blog

  • Wow! That is brilliant! Though to me it does seem mad because I haven't seen either of them. XD

  • Fantastic stuff.

There is something fitting about LW being involved that fits so well with the old-school-ness of this...

  • Absolutely Brilliant! Did you map the faces from photos?

  • What I can say that hasn't already been said by other people viewing your videos. Your talents are incredible, they blow any other animations I have seen by anybody else out the water and I have seen some pretty impressive animations from different people on You Tube but nothing compared to this. I really hope you will give some serious thought to reconstructing some of the missing stories from the 60's era. Colossal kudos.

  • Awesome

  • Wow! Loved it, especially the part after 3:00. Cleverly done too. Thanks!

  • Brilliant!

  • Absolutely amazing.

  • better 3d than the latest '3d' episodes produced by the beeb

  • brilliant brilliant stuff

  • nicly done!!

  • YEY! Another new Xmas video from you!!! And I love it!

  • absolutely brilliant and clever and funny and stunning!

  • I laughed, I cried... it was better than Cats!

Seriously though... awesome and fantastic work!

  • I love you.

  • Just....WOW!!!!

    SO perfect!!!

  • Thank you, Starchild. Most wonderful!

  • This is awesome!

Shame Evil Edna Stradling seems to think you're wasting you're time. Not quite sure why he's being so sour though.

  • wow..... that's mind-blowing!

  • The only thing I would add -- a slit-scan Star Gate sequence that looks suspiciously like the time vortex. But other than that, this was appropriately creepy AND wonderful at the same time :)

  • Absolutely awesome - amazing work!!!

  • very good, i'm not sure how long this took you, but it was worth the effort.

    Keep up the good work.

    SUBSCRIBED!

  • Beautiful! When asked when was my first Matt Smith moment I'll have to say this one. A brilliant retro and NuWho mix that brings a giddy smile to my face. Well done. And here's hoping for more. I love your Xmas vids. What a gift to enjoy again and again...

  • Totally amazing! SUPERB!

They should have engaged you to animate "Dreamworld"!

  • @edstradling - Why so bitter? Is it because it's better than the Restoration Team puts out?

  • Well done!

  • Oh wow, this is amazing!

  • That was bloody fantastic!!!!

  • As a starting point, as a means towards understanding and gaining the experience to create this sort of stuff, it's surely worthwhile?

The opening shot alone would be quite good on a CV.

  • Amazing. Great job; and Patrick Troughton was INCREDIBLY rendered. Well done.

  • AWESOME. And EPIC. Two of the best sci-fi productions ever. Merged into one superbeing that dominates all. A hegemon of sci-fi. And you rendered each Doctor's face amazingly!

  • That is Absolutely Amazingly Awesomely Brilliant... *ahem* yes, I liked it. Very much. Thank you for sharing!

  • Brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed that.

  • Applause, applause... absolutely brilliant! Brava!

  • That's amazing! The BBC should hire you to animate the lost episodes of 'The Wheel in Space' .

  • A naked Matt Smith...great use of the Cybermen...and yes--the TARDIS is the plinth...nice cameo of 10th as well. Loved it, loved it, loved it--your animation is stellar, almost their likenesses!

  • Brilliant stuff! The recreation of the sets, especially, was spot-on. I loved the "recasting" of "sleeping Floyd" Pan-Am scene. What do you do for an encore, "Star Wars: The Invisible Enemy"?

  • Genius.

  • What can I say but fantastic. 5*****s =)

  • Wow!! that was bloody fantastic!!!

  • Bloody brilliant - Stuff Dreamland someone needs to employ you!!!!

  • Absolutely incredible! That was totally and utterly superb! I bow down in awe...

  • Fantastic! An incredible job. Surely it won't be long until the missing episodes of WHO can be recreated.

  • Brilliant! I am in awe of your Lightwave skills. And such a wonderful homage to both DW and 2001. Brava!

  • OMG I LOVED IT!!!! That was so well done. :D Your a genius!

  • You're really talented - more! :-)

  • Absolutely the best DR WHO video I have ever seen on YOU TUBE. You should have been in charge of the graphics for the DESTINY OF THE DOCTORS computer game .

  • This is stunning - well done ! With Cgi, the 11 Doctors will be made for the 50th birthday !

  • @colt79sigma Or 12 depending on how long Matt stays...

  • Simply the most astonishing video I've seen on You Tube about Who! I'm sure you got the Servo Robot's walk down to a tee. Bloody well done!

  • Oh my giddy aunt!!! That's so impressive on an epic scale!!!!!!!!!! The best Dr Who animation I've seen on Youtube yet!

I like the Blue Danube used for the docking sequence, reminds me of a game I was addicted to when I was a teenager called Elite!

  • Wow, that was very well done! Thank you!

  • Very very impressive!

  • FANTASTIC!

  • That is chuffing amazing!!!!!

  • This is truly wonderful. Please upload a HQ version, I want to show everyone this!

  • Bloody brilliant.

Really quite stirring, as well. One of the flatout Doctor Who-iest things I've seen in years.

  • I'm going to have nightmares, gah.

  • Wow - I'm speechless. Absolutely beautiful!

  • This wasn't rediculously creepy, was it?

  • That was excellent, Timegirl. I'm very impressed by it, and think you did an amazing job!

  • lovely. just lovely.

  • Fantastic!!

  • Astounding! The rendering of the Doctors is just amazing. The monolithic Tardis opening would make a brilliant teaser trailer too.

  • A true work of art. Masterpiece!

  • Love this to bits. Thank you!

  • Very nicely done, on all fronts. Keep up the good work!

  • Just. Amazing.

  • Iz is our hope for the future to restore our missing Doctor Who episodes.

  • Fucking brilliant!

  • JESUS......that was astounding.....speechless....

  • Absolutely ASTOUNDING! I watched the sneak peak of 'The End of Time' last evening and was typically excited with the usual anticipation of what's to come. Watching this has had an even greater effect - a masterpiece. Thankyou SO much...

  • This is just stunning!

The BBC should be hiring you to animate all the missing episodes!

  • Dear god, when my pal linked to this I was expecting the usual mediocrity - this is ****ing brilliant!!!

I hope you go onto an excellent career in computer animation (if you are not already), which you fully deserve to do.

  • utter genius. i am in awe.

  • This is the single greatest thing created by mankind.

    This IS canon.

  • Not only is this good story telling, the animation in Lightwave is FANTASTIC!

A+ dear for a truly outstanding job!

  • That looked exactly like Matt...I'm speechless, superb work

  • Awesome job!

  • That is absolutely amazing.

  • Brilliant brilliant brilliant.

  • Oh, this is, to quote Dr10, BRILLYUNT. It's been said a lot in these comments, coz it is 100% true. Very VERY well done. You should get the gig to animate the missing episodes. This is something special.

  • That is well good!

  • That was amazing!

I'll echo everyone else's comments...Much better than the Dreamland animation.

  • Oh wow!!!!!

I'm impressed. Yes, it really IS better than dreamland. Maybe the BBC should be talking to you about a restoration of the rest of the Wheel in Space for DVD.

  • That is simply Brilliant, absolutly brilliant!!!

  • Wow. I wish the Beeb had used your talents for "Dreamland"! That was incredible animation!

  • Totally love this - especially the last bit!

  • This is absolutely breathtaking. Clever, funny, superbly-executed. I can't lavish enough praise on it. It sent a shiver down my spine when the Cyberman walked out, and the 'three Doctors' scene was incredible.

Undoubtedly one of the three best things I've ever seen on YouTube - but I won't say which is the best of the three because I don't want to offend the other two guys...

  • That is absolutely brilliant!! Looks way better than the clips I've seen of Dreamland. Well done!

  • That is just brilliant.

  • Utterly Brilliant. Dreamland, you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • Woweee! This is amazing!

  • Total masterpiece
