Nu-Rave!? Whats so new about it? The Happy Mondays and New Order mixed rave with guitars back in the 80's. Emo is just Pop Punk which has been around forever, even though Emo originated from the Hardcore scene everyone seems to have their own definition of it. The majority of bands branded it today sound anything but and are obviously aiming towards a mainstream audience.

No, they had the right idea. If it really was a joke, it's a shame the NME did what they did. If the Klaxons said it knowing what would happen (their influences from the rave scene are more than just about the music - do some KLF research), then it just shows how gullible and sheepish the kids are these days. The NME and the kids that have followed them have tried to tell me that proper rave music is done for, that the people who like it are wankers, that it's 'old rave' and died in 1993. Well, they are wrong. Plenty of DnB lovers out there still, plenty of people making new oldskool style tunes, plenty of people dancing to new forms of rave, plenty of free parties still.

I never had to read a music mag to know what to like, I just tuned into the radio - pirate or legal - it didn't matter. What I heard, I decided if I liked it or not.
