  • do the airbrakes function?

  • Beautiful

  • bloody magnificent! well done! shes a beaut!!

  • Yet another gorgeous model... The paint/finish alone are superb (tough break with the pre-flight damage!). Seven years doesn't surprise me considering the amount of work and real-life interruptions... Well worth the wait, I'm sure! As for the vid, I'd say it turned out rather well even with the less-than-ideal conditions... Thanks for sharing these!

  • Dude seriously???? 7years??

  • @SuperSurya1234 go do it faster then, it's expensive and takes time, they have jobs so this is what happens when they have enough spare money and time.

  • what scale is it?

  • That's a gorgeous model. Then again, I've always had a soft spot for the Fagot/Midget. Personally, If I were willing to put up with the frustration of RC flying, I'd actually look into a Fresco once I got superb at it.

  • what paintscheme is it?

  • whhhhhhhhhhhattt it uses some kind of fuel source and not a battery. that is so fucking awesome.

  • soooooooooooooooooooooooo cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool, i want one but i would definitely destroy it

  • Lucky the turbine blew out as soon as it started eh. If they blew out mid air >.< !

  • that failure happens because of the air breaks that dosent have this mig

  • In soviet Russia rc planes fly you xD

  • beautiful beautiful!!!

  • those planes marked the end of an era since then planes have relied on computers

  • um that kinda makes my trainer look useless what an amazing plane

  • Love and respect to this pilot. I felt the same rush watching that magnificent beast lift off the runway. I've had a mild obsession with the Mig 15 for a couple of years. My own is in pieces, right now, but you given me the incentive I needed to begin rebuilding. God bless from Georgia, U.S.A.!

Check out my maiden flight video for a good laugh.

  • oh man...amazing plane...watched the video drooling on my keyboard...I wish I could afford one. applaud

  • how do you get the rivets in the covering?

  • I must say when the video first loaded up I thought "This is suppose to be an RC plane not a real one!" then I seen the pilot and thought "holy crap it is an RC plane!" looks real, amazing paint.

  • Great build ,,A credit to you, Well done...

  • beautiful plane. landings looked really fast. but awesome first flight.

  • 2:39 - Mig15 on dialysis :)

  • Light or no, thats some amazing camera work bruce!

  • Here's another that looks 1:1 until some damn human gets in the shot! ;-)

  • This is a superb piece of work with great details. Looks better than the original mig15.

    Lovely plane. Thanks for sharing.

  • Beautiful work- nice job!

  • What an awesome bit of kit! Top marks to the builder, and sounds great in the air!! :)

  • Hey do you live right there at the airport?

  • GREAT MAIDEN!!! I know how nerve racking that is. Got a bit lucky on that go around with the spool up delay.

  • How were the rivits put on? Is that epoxy dots?

  • Where's KIN?

  • I was thinking that the tank on top of the wing was how it was going to fly. I was like nuuuuuuuu! don't run a awesome plane like that.

  • Gorgeous plane

  • Absolutely beautiful looking Mig 15, and once all the little fuel probs sorted was a pleasure to see it in the Air, thanks for sharing Craig' s wonderful machine Bruce

  • Absolutly beautiful.

    Gary

  • Thats not a model plane, its a bloody work of art!

  • i can't believe my eyes that it's a kit and not the real deal. what an honor to see such a pretty thing

  • A model to be extremely proud of. Congratulations.

  • I like it when you can use em again !!

  • Really nice bit of kit mates well done.

  • In the first 5 seconds i was blown away.

This jet looks as if it was made with complete perfection.

I am honored to see it!

  • Wow. That thing is wonderful. Now we just need an F-86 Sabre and some laser-tag equipment and we can get some dogfights going!

  • please please please may you upload the corflute model :) thanx

  • Spectacular model. Beautiful in the air. I owuld have been nervous as heel landing that after 7 years of build!

  • Ahhh Beautiful!

  • I HATE maiden flights! You're so darned nervous that your hands are shaking!

I spent 6 months putting my trex 600 together and it's only been about 3 feet off the ground.

I can imagine what this guy is feeling after putting 7 years of his life into it.

  • That's beautiful

  • Great flying Mig! I'm sure their not the easiest to fly , but this one looked very natural and scale detail is immaculate! Congrats...this is every R/C enthusiasts dream! Don't think I'd need anything else...ever...or until I gave it an accidental dirtnap. LOL!

  • Even the Soviet didn't pay that much attention to the fishing details on their MIGs.

  • Awesome plane! You can tell that some serious time was put into it! Too bad about the horz stab..I have done the same thing before tryin to get to the flying field, and blam! ...new plane, crushed tail! ...it flew awesome! Great first flight!!

  • such a great detail.. what made is that ? ? ?

  • imagine you built it bigger with you in the inside,

and maybe a home built ejection seat = $100,000 price tag atleast

  • Craig should be a happy man!! He maidened it and brought it back alive. Good onya Craig!

    Nice build

  • Nice jet, That was worth the 7 year wait, Flys like a dream it seamed!

  • Nice !!

  • and I thought dad taking 4-5 years from built to flying a flair puppeteer was bad!

  • Oh my... what a beauty! The attention to detail is incredible. The size of that engine is incredible!

  • FIRST Class. Now to invade North Korea !

  • i bet Kenn is dying to fly in one of those beauty's...

    you must make him a flight-suite! :D

  • thats a very nice plane!

  • the "go around" was absolutely bad ass!! those turbines sound so awesome!!

  • How do they make the rivet bumps? Awsome!

  • @jrnageotte there are a few techniques - from pre-punching them by hand in the mold - hence creating convex bumps on the fuselage to actually meticulously applying rivet shapes with a pen tip in the tinfoil covering the fuselage (depending on the construction, of course). Either way - the simple answer is - they take their time with them! :) awesome jet, btw!

  • sweet..

  • Great plane! I think you guys are spoiled over there with all the awesome craft you all seem to have! :)

  • nice video
