@WhackAChicken Wouldn't have a clue, I know its in Youtube's AudioSwap repository though. I only used it so the sound that was originally there didn't scare people. ^^;
I was about to comment on the unreliability of the data on the first graph (I graphed it myself before reading your graph, which was identical to mine), when i read the second graph, which looks more realistic. Yet, wouldn't a slug at 100units inflict much more damage than a spread of buckshot at 100units?
@ObiTrev They're not slugs, they're just buckshots with a consistent pellet spread. (A 3x3 grid of 9 pellets). As long as all pellets hit, they do the same amount of damage.
So, basically what we're seeing here is that while no spread is generally stronger at medium ranges and longer, there's little to no difference at close quarters combat.
odd to see the no spread do slightly less on the second-to-last test though. Of course that's through averaging.
I dunno, I don't really see no spread as a big game changing deal here. It's more accurate, sure, but then you have to play with a tighter aim on classes that generally don't call for it.

@HellzAssassin666 No spread... He`s just really bad at averaging.

Huh....
...thought no spread was godly.

@HellzAssassin666 Fixed spread is consistent, which is a great pleasure for Scouts.

@MattTheLoneWolf
Actually the scattergun shoots 10 pellets. I suppose (but am not sure) that with the uniform grid, 2 pellets are centered (?)
jeolmmum 1 year ago
@jeolmmum Ah true. I gave it a quick test and two pellets do go to the centre, and eight to each direction. :)

You have a nice setup with the Heavies. Also you did this in a consistent manner. Good data too.

the real reason it's not working is because he's 2 fat!

Can you redo that whole thing with a class with a smaller hitbox (preferably scout)?
toemaetoe 2 years ago 4
@toemaetoe He is doing it with a scout, look at the bottom left.
meepsss 2 years ago
You recognize he's doing the shots with Scout because you look at the pic in the bottom left corner, and not because of the Scattergun? XD
Also, i obviously meant doing the shots ON scouts, not WITH scout.
toemaetoe 2 years ago 19
I've done it. A tad late, but I've done it.

Yeah that was unexpected.

Sorry about that, the sound for the first half buggered up. I'll put a warning in the description. ^^;

@zap657 I read you comment and didn't realize what you were talking about until 1:03. I turned up the volume since there was no sound.

Nice video, nice sharing with other your info.
But you really need larger sample size, as you said - at least 10 hits / test, or even 20. 3 is just not enough when you have a variation.
