  • For everyone who is smart enough to use a quality tube bender like the man in this video did, there is an easy understand book available to be able to quickly teach yourself how to make precision bends. Go to another youtube website /t04041951 This website will show you about the easiest and best way to bend tube.

  • Subaru's also put all of their lines inside the car.

  • @taiden Smart. Anyone who builds a car for a winter climate should. Makes all the sense in the world..

  • look at that...look at that!! haha LOOK AT THAT!! haha...I'm gonna be a brake line dude...

    this dude is funny!!

  • i was a guest at a car manufacture recently and i specifically asked why do they make steel lines under the car what they usually rot first causing whole car to crash. The director answered that its all about reducing production cost, they don't even paint them because its cheaper and the car shouldn't last forever anyway. I'm going to replace mine lines too but i'll probably go with Cu-Ni ones.

  • @827rover Well, you bring up a good point. They don't make cars to last. They make 'em to sell. When they break down or crash, people have to buy more. So they can sell more. Interestingly enough, one car builder, Saab, put the brake lines inside the car body so that they weren't exposed to the elements. They did that on the old 900's but were bought out by GM and now they're just like other cars, nothing special..

  • LOOKY THAT!

  • decided to see if anyone has any line bending videos and presto! Looks like I am getting me one of those for my nitrous lit.

  • They rot out in NH real quick too. Whereabouts in Maine?

  • great vid

  • you truly are a break line bending dude !!!

    hah

  • brake lines are under high pressure, a standard flare usually won't hold up. You need a special double flare tool to make the correct flare. Your local auto parts store should have one.they are not that expensive. Good luck

  • Thanks. I'll check into that..

  • Got me a double flare tool.. Thanks for the help.

  • I bought a chepo mastercraft flaring kit... it makes a flare but im not sure if its a double flare... what should I be looking for to insure that it is or isn't a double flare?

  • A double flare is a two step process. Your local parts store should have what your looking for. They are not that expensive. Type in double flare on youtube and there should be several examples. Good luck, Bob

  • lol... all i get when i run the search is idiots putting huge earings in their ears lmao!

But I now think mine is a double flare unit, I put the nipple in, squeeze and then take the nipple out and squeeze once more...

  • COOL! wish i had one of those benders ,Looking good !

  • Use wire clothes hangers to mock up the angles... worked pretty well for me in the past.

  • Oh that's a good idea. Thanks!

  • yep you got it i didmy intrepid yesterday

  • i did the same thing when i managed to get the rear bumper on my car to bend the way i wanted. woo-hoo!

  • nice job, learn from my mistake ,if you have to flare a end make sure you use a double flare. I learned the hard way.

  • A double flare? Can you say more...

  • I have the same tool.. works great.. you da brake line man!
