California's policy on open carry is stupid. If you conceal carry a loaded gun, then no one (including criminals) knows for sure if you are unarmed or not, but if you adhere to Cali's open carry policy then the same criminals will know you have a gun that is unloaded, and they could pull a knife or a loaded gun on you faster than you can take out the gun, take out the ammo, and load the gun. I say California (and all states) should allow the carry of LOADED guns regardless of it concealed or not
It is almost impossible to get a CCW here in LA county, they will make you jump through multiple red tape hoops to complete the CCW process. Also, it really helps if you are rich, an NBA basketball player, a famous actor or a close relative of the local police chief.

@lyrminas Are the Swiss citizens are issued fully automatic or simi automatic rifles? One rifle name that came up in my search was the Sig M57 automatic assault. Swiss Government requires 24 rounds and that doesn't seem like much for a full auto rifle. Anyway, do you know if the Swiss have full auto or simi auto rifles at home? These rifles were army issued I think so it would make sense that they'd be full auto???

By law he has to keep at least 1 gun in his home, whether it needs to be auto or semi I am not sure. California's policy on open carry is stupid. If you conceal carry a loaded gun, then no one (including criminals) knows for sure if you are unarmed or not, but if you adhere to Cali's open carry policy then the same criminals will know you have a gun that is unloaded, and they could pull a knife or a loaded gun on you faster than you can take out the gun, take out the ammo, and load the gun. I say California (and all states) should allow the carry of LOADED guns regardless of it concealed or not

not to mention the swiss has laws that require you to have at least one automatic rifle in your home and get military training, provided by the government. Not only that they require you to learn to hide it should a crisis occur by the government overstepping or an invasion. They have one of the lowest crimes out there considering everyone is armed. @lyrminas Are the Swiss citizens are issued fully automatic or simi automatic rifles? One rifle name that came up in my search was the Sig M57 automatic assault. Swiss Government requires 24 rounds and that doesn't seem like much for a full auto rifle. Anyway, do you know if the Swiss have full auto or simi auto rifles at home? These rifles were army issued I think so it would make sense that they'd be full auto???

@Nu13th From what I'm told from a friend who lives there, they have to serve in the military for some time, they get to keep their rifle issued by the military in my friends case it was a SIG550. By law he has to keep at least 1 gun in his home, whether it needs to be auto or semi I am not sure. When someone is shot, they don't go down quickly. Head shots are not like video games. If someone shot someone in the back, and that person is armed, 100% you can expect the person to get off quite a few rounds before they officially call 911 for help.
