It's a pity. ABC pulled the plug on Shadows in April 1971; annual, competitive daytime Emmys weren't inaugurated until 1973. Else, Thayer David could have counted on routine placement among the supporting actor nominees, and Parker, surely, would have been accepting a gold-plated statue or two herself. David makes the bowing and scraping servant in this time period and the arrogant professor in modern time so real you can forget the same actor is playing both.
Lara Parker rarely if ever mispoke her lines! She could make herself look beautiful and then contort her face to make herself look ugly! Supreme actress!
there was never ever a better daytime drama before, during, or since. Long live DS and thankfully we can relive the magic via video or the old episodes.
It's a pity. Dark Shadows went off the air two years before annual, competitive daytime Emmys were bestowed. Not only would Lara have snagged several nominations, so would Thayer David in the supporting category for his many and completely different incarnations: Ben & T. Eliot Stokes, Sandor the gypsy and Count Petofi.

Tim Burton this Piano Piece I've written would be perfect for your movie.
It's called Nocturnal.
It's a dark dramatic piano piece.

I love the combination of beauty and supernatural power Angelique exhibits in this scene. She is both menacing and playful. Brava!

I hated her character when I was a kid. W
She reminds me of the character Abby, played by Donna Mills on "Knots Landing." I hated Abby, too.
