  • Free speech is a biatch, ain't it? lol

  • Fuck this silly broad.

  • I agree just another example of someone with great grades being a complete dumbass. Im shocked

  • Florida is only religious because its where all the old people go to die, and they grasp at anything they can while their oxygen tank gives out.As they slip into Dementia, they probably see Jesus in Burnt toast, and on the walls in bird crap.... Wait a minute .....

  • if i was there i would have gotten me and my friend stone her

  • wow. this just shows that being valedictorian doesn't mean shit. you can make great grades and still be an idiot. this girl should be embarrassed.

  • Actually.... I'd probably gather with my friends and walk out during the speech.

  • If one of our speakers started talking that bullshit, I would have had an argument with them right there in front of everyone.

  • What if someone wanted to share Satanism with the class, how do you think that would go over?

I can tell you that the christians would be outraged, they probably would sue the school district, but if they want to tell their story about jesus and the evil yahwah, that is acceptable?

    Why the double standard?

I see the same thing where I live, the people here are free to have bible study, and proselytize all they want, how do you think they would react if I were to start preaching another god?

  • It proves that religious braindead zealots can graduate to. It also reduce the value of such diploma. XD

  • How about some other student making a speech how not believeing in Zeus will condemn you to eternal torture? :D

  • What a stupid twat.

  • god damn there were a shit load of diploma's next to her.

  • @chessunderground Hint: Imagine how easy they are to get, after hearing her speech... XD

  • good for her! she stood up for what she believed in, hasnt that been what we have been told since we were young? she didnt yell at the students or call them names, she presented the Gospel ina factual and respectful way.

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN You're an idiot. This is just simply the wrong place. You don't see me bringing facts and science into your church, do you?

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN Good for her? I cant go on stage and tell everyone that they need to love the president and give him money and if they don't they will be arrested and tortured for the rest of their lives AND they would deserve it. To a non-Christian or a nonreligious person both statements are very offensive, not "respectful." She didn't present anything in a "factual" or "respectful" way. Nothing that she said is a fact. Shes a liar and a victim of indoctrination. Shame on her.

  • Dumb bitch...

  • I don't blame the girl but rather the religious indoctrination that likely started at a young age. From her perspective, she is actually doing a very noble thing (albeit offensive from a rational worldview). I would almost question the morals of anyone who has been brainwashed to believe what she does that isn't out trying to convert people. If you are brainwashed to believe that most people around you are going to be tortured for eternity, and you don't try to "save" them, then you are an ass

  • What a beautiful message to hear... a naked man died on a cross and went to Heaven so you can go to Heaven. If you don't believe in a whole shit ton of crap along with said story, you "deserve" eternal suffering that will endlessly go on, each day technically being infinitely worse than the actual cross situation (hey, people are depicted as giving Jesus water during it. You ever get a water break in Hell?)... great thing to hear during a ceremony about your future or your child's future.

  • this girl is made of *facepalm*. i hope if she was originally accepted to a good college... that she was immediately kicked. shit like this wont stand in a world class educational institution where the stage has become the world, and not some backwater little town/city in the US.

  • So, a girl standing up in a ceremony and telling those there that if they don't agree with her about a bronze age myth they will burn for all eternity, that's ok? What the hell is happening to this country?

  • This girl is ignorant and her being valedictorian shows how pathetic our school system has become.

  • I would have walked up on that stage, thrown my gown on the ground, and stormed out. That is disgusting.

  • She should have been commited not graduated!

  • This girl was chosen valedictorian because of her acumen. Yet I'm left scratching my head as to why this supposedly very intelligent person would preach the tenets of a belief system that has failed in proving its ties to the supernatural. In its 2000 yr history, Christianity has never been able to justify its claims of supernatural origins and ties. Yet she makes positive claims in absolute terms about something she can know absolutely nothing about. Doesn't sound intelligent to me

  • @nosajj12345 You don't need to be intelligent to pass the curriculum of America's public schools. How many tests are multiple choice? Way too many. I know it makes the teacher's jobs easier, but it doesn't do any good for the students. Also, I've heard kids can opt out of being taught evolution. That's disgraceful. Evolution is a fact, but these kids get the idea that it's "just a theory" when they're able to opt out of it.

Religion is poisonous to society and it seems like everyone's oblivious

  • Mark 12:38-44 "As he taught, Jesus said, 'Watch out for the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and be greeted in the marketplaces, and have the most important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will be punished most severely.

  • Lol, i wonder what christian people like them would think if a muslim valedictorian told them during his/her speech, that if they didn't accept allah being the one true god and muhammad was his true prophet, that they would all burn in hell. It's not a one way street. Personally in my opnion, we should enforce separation of church and state and not let people like her be a driving influence for the greater education for this country. What an ignorant american girl she is.

  • @Demon666Evil Allah is the same as the Christian God. Allah is just Arabic for God. And its not apart of Islamic belief that if you don't believe in Muhammad as being the final prophet of Allah that you go to hell. The Koran makes that clear.

  • @werlcad42 Well i can tell you that many christians as well as many muslims would disagree that allah and the christian god are the same. Also, have you seriously read the koran because reading this statement makes me question. but thanks for the comment

  • Another creep that has to use the forum of a public HS graduation to show everyone how much they believe that living in a Republic is less than worthless.

  • shannon spaulding gives TERRIBLE blow jobs.

  • Crazy bitch....

  • wow. for someone who is suppose to be really smart, she is completely clueless when it comes to tact.

  • SHe's got dead, lifeless eyes. Sign of a closed mind.

  • @BlameRepublicans

More specifically, he was Catholic, which is, IMO, even *worse*!

BTW, love the name! Have you ever heard the phrase, "The Republicans always talk about how terrible government is, and then they get elected and _prove_ it!" Thought you'd like that. ;~D lol

  • @macgeek2004 Ok so I was wrong about the socialist part (god damn propaganda) but I still think you're dangerously insane. My best friends are christian.

  • Respond to this video... oh, oops. Sorry, wrong person!

  • I've never been so embarrassed to be from Jacksonville.

  • Thanks for proving that Jesus is an asshole!

  • @Polterguist Don't hate Jesus. He didn't know stupid bitches and assholes were going to be nonsensically defending him by doing the EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT HE SAID thousands of years later.

  • @DepressedAnnnie Great point. lol

  • She can't be all that well educated if she thinks her speech was appropriate.

  • Dumb retard bitch

  • Hitler was a Christian. Spread the word.

  • @BlameRepublicans Hitler was also a German, a Socialist, and a possessor of a unique sense of fashion. I'm not a fan of Christianity either but don't categorize, idiot! It's not as likely to cause a problem but if you want to be vague about comparing people to Hitler, may I point out YOU'RE trying to convince people to generically hate a religious group? X-P

  • No he was NOT a Socialist. Socialism says the workers must own the means of production (in other words government owned business only) He rounded up and killed Labor Union members. He was a right wing Christian. Spread the *true* word about Hitler. He was the German equivalent to a US Christian Republican.

  • @BlameRepublicans Ok so I was wrong about the socialist part (god damn propaganda) but I still think you're dangerously insane. My best friends are christian.

  • Respond to this video... Oh, and PS: a lot of the Ali soldiers were Christian too so do we just ignore that to support you're argument? You can find extremes of both good and evil in every example and you're hateful talk is only the product of cooked books. You can't even say that sick minds are always bad. Look at Vangogh! So before you try to manipulate people, evaluate human beings individually for their levels of good and evil or you're just as bad as these "Right-winged Christians"!

  • I don't understand your post. Suffice to say - evil people will do evil things - but to get a good person to do evil things - well - that takes religion.

  • @BlameRepublicans Ok, at least when I posted it I thought I was being pretty clear but I'll rephrase if I was confusing. Never the less, that does not at all prove you're statement. Please try to understand this time because I think avoiding my argument by pointing out technical flaws repeatedly like this is making you look very unprofessional and therefore, most likely wrong.

  • @BlameRepublicans Hitler was a lot of things like any human being regardless of how horrible. For every category, not just Christianity, that Hitler fell into, there were more or less others that fit into that category. For every category of people, we cannot assume each one is, behaves like, or even in the slightest agrees with Hitler. Why? Because only the sum of these characteristics right down to having the same parents and the same emotional defects makes HITLER Hitler.

  • @BlameRepublicans And on the assumption that only Hitler is Hitler and therefore no one else had the exact same impact on the world, we can only accurately judge individuals and the actions they took; Hitler, Mussolini, Jesus, Buddha, or Lindsey Lohan. Furthermore, if it WAS necessary to judge an entire group, considering I'm sure that you would ask me to explain Nazis, the much better, yet still not fool proof, way is to evaluate the beliefs.

  • @BlameRepublicans There are a lot of things to dislike about Christianity (the condemning of gays, the condoning of slavery, the insistent that anyone who doesn't follow the religion should be murdered and then will be eternally tortured, and the mysterious sudden disappearance of two levels of the afterlife that supposedly god had wanted there for centuries but even though he's all knowing, suddenly doesn't want... the list goes on and on) but not any amount of the people following it.

  • FUCK YOU BITCH!

    watch?v=1gfyQEn3pxE

  • I don't like to stereotype but I couldn't help but notice that the parent they interviewed that was okay with the speech had a southern accent.

  • @RoDJ99 because the place is in the south u daggum idiot!!!!!!

  • @stevenkjv15 My point was the parent who wasn't happy with the speech didn't seem to have that southern accent stereotypically associated with Southern Fundamentalist Christians; in contrast to the parent who was happy with the speech.

  • Proof that any MORON can obtain degree. Studying for grades is something anyone outside of a retard can do, thanks to the American education system and the like. A true education on the other hand, requires actual intelligence, critical thinking, integrity, evidence, proof, & honesty. And guess what? It can actually be acquired for free. Go figure.

The scariest thing about this is that she has the right to vote and she will procreate & raise her children.

  • Comment removed

  • Would the people that supported her if she preached out of the Koran? Would they have clapped and cheered? If she espoused views of Mohammad instead of Jesus, would her condemnation of non-believers been as easily accepted?

  • @gortews No, anyone with a brain knows that it is wrong for anyone of any religion to do what this young lady did. Are you saying that the American public tends to 'go easier' on Muslims and other religions, as to not offend them? If that is what was in between the lines of your comment, I can understand your thinking...if you watch FOX News. :/

  • If I was there I would've just lit up a cigarette and if someone told me to put it out, I would say "put her our first".

  • completly wrong forum for this... if it was a religous school then maybe, i'd have to hear the whole speech

  • She opted for preaching 'cause she wasn't creative enough to write a real speech.

  • I guess there really is free speech in this nation in some places anyhow.

  • @InverStone600

Yep! I couldn't agree more. ^_^ I'm an atheist and I'm going to be valedictorian, but you will NEVER see me give a speech about how wonderful atheism is and how everyone else is wrong; especially at a school function. People have the right to their own opinions! This girl's ridiculous.

  • @MartialArtsPassion she wasnt forsin it on no body she was just suggestin it to everybody so ill pray for u that you will change your mind

  • Seventeen minutes of verbally assaulting the entire audience??? Where was the principal?

  • @pburto

    applauding... just applauding

  • tits or gtfo

  • @kittley1984 true that. Religion=hipocracy

  • I'm sure if she was going on about Mohammad and Allah, there would be a up roar!

  • I don't care what her test scores are--she's a fanatic. Imagine yourself in the audience, a captive audience if you want to see your child graduate--and you're a devout Christian. Then the valedictorian is an atheist, and instead of providing a speech appropriate for the occasion, provides instead a sermon about how stupid and wrong your religion is. Does this help you to see how wrong this young lady is? Is she accomplished? Sure. Intelligent? Maybe, but not so sure. Indoctrinated? You bet.

  • @TomAdams20 I guess you're right. But you would have to say the same thing about someone who preaches about Allah and Xenu.

  • @TomAdams20 She "believes" that I deserve to burn forever. Guess what: That kind of insult is often considered just a teensy bit "rude" at a formal occasion.

For illustration let me just point out that I believe you deserve to be stabbed in the eyes and shat upon. Now of course, that's only my opinion, but it's nice to know I have your permission to say so, since you respect when a person isn't afraid to share what they believe. I hope my words to you are as inspirational as hers.

  • This mindless worthless whore giving the speech needs nigger rape, aids and ovarian cancer. I hope this subhuman subanimal subplantlife american whoress gets what it deserves which is carbon monoxide and a torching with gas. All religion is all bad all the time for all humans everywhere in the past the present and the future. Thank you.

  • i cant believe every one still applauded. i would have exploded on her in the middle of the speech.

  • Intelligent people can be diluted and feel that "eternal torment for finite crimes" is just.

Intelligent people can also learn that "eternal torment for finite crimes" is in no way just nor beautiful nor reasonable nor "worth believing."

  • Weirdo Wolfson

  • To all Christians who applaud what she did: if it was a Muslim valedictorian, would you be in favor of them saying all non-Muslims go to hell, or an Atheist valedictorian reading passages from the God Delusion, would you be okay with it?

I'm an atheist and if it was either of the tree, I would boo the person on stage and probably walk out.

  • Well done Shannon Spaulding, keep freedom of speech alive and well in America.

  • BS who the hell doesnt think relgion is controversial! Wether or not u think it was appropriet or not, this girl KNEW that it was innapropriet to do in that circumstance.

  • This girl is an idiot...

  • wtf.

  • If she is valedictorian what level of intelligence are the rest of the class?

  • @derman077 Average IQ is 170 of the 100 grads.

Oh, sorry misread the resut... that was the total IQ.

  • @derman077 Hey fucknut, I graduated with her, and even though her speech had me cringing and angry afterwards for her lack of concern of other peoples beliefs, you could not be more wrong. She scored a perfect score on the SAT and ACT, and had a perfect GPA. Also, since then I graduated with a degree in Engineering form the University of Florida. So, next time, before you generalize an entire group of people you don't even remotely know, just remember how fucking stupid you are on your own.

  • @GatorBaitUSA I asked a question. I got an answer. Touche'. No need to be an asshole about it though. I didn't vote that comment up or post this video. It appears even the intelligent can be brainwashed.

  • @derman077 close to a chimp or maybe below

  • @derman077

Somewhere between amoebas and toads perhaps?

Someone whom got lost on the evolutionary latter....

  • @derman077

    you dont want to know...

  • Dumb as F@CK.

I pity America and its lack of personal freedoms and respect for others.

  • @HarrysSecret As do some of us who live here and feel stuck.

  • Who the fuck was applauding this??????

  • Seriously. I would just walk out, eventhough I didnot get my papers yet.

  • Public school Fail!

  • Public school Fail!

  • I'm wondering why the stupid ass school didn't look over her speech before she gave it. I mean when it's government sponsered you have got to be keen on this kind of shit. And shame on those who clapped for her, how dare you applaud for such ignorant tribalistic behavior on what is supposed to be a happy occasion.

  • @punisherrorschach27 Exactly. It was highly inappropriate

  • Oh for fucks sake. I would have walked out and asked my school to mail me my diploma.

  • @wvguy8258

    You're a liar. I haven't flagged anything bigot.

  • Not surprisingly she looks like she has the IQ of a dead squirrel.

  • @wvguy8258

Dawkins-bot. Keep shelling out your cash to these guys. It cracks me up.

  • @wvguy8258

    Yes... cry... I don't care.

  • @wvguy8258

    LOL.... where's your evidence?

  • @wvguy8258

Is the sign hard to hold in the rain?

  • @wvguy8258

You "know" huh... LOL I assume you have some evidence for atheism then? Opps. no? Then what you "know" shows that you're not smarter than this girl.

  • @wvguy8258

So you're the guy on the side of the road with the "Slow" sign in construction areas.

And since you didn't answer the question... I'll assume that you weren't valedictorian and that this girl is much smarter than you.

  • @wvguy8258

Yes.. call a valedictorian an idiot... hahaha... how did you fare in high school? I'll bet you weren't number one.

I have no problem with the Muslim faith. I know a very nice Muslim family. They're very nice people. I don't hate people because of their religion.... that would make me a bigot.

  • this bitch need some good anal

  • @wvguy8258

    LOL boo hoo

  • @wvguy8258

NO.. she was cheered by almost everyone.

Only the fundamentalist atheists cried about it. both of them.

  • Classic example of how inconsiderate, arrogant and insulting Christians can be.

  • @nosajj12345

Oh yes... and your heroes Dawkins and Hitchens aren't ever inconsiderate, arrogant nor insulting right?

  • @nosajj12345

Why they act like that...? Because they're worthless bigots....

  • @nosajj12345

Really? Atheism has earned respect? Not from this world.

  • @dex1391 "Really? Atheism has earned respect?"

Oh ya, those awful atheists! the way they preach intolerance and bigotry towards other human beings based their sexual orientation. The intolerance and bigotry they exhibit towards non-believers and those of other beliefs. Oh and let's not forget how they rudely and immorally impose their beliefs on ALL whether they agree or not without the slightest bit of objective evidence justifying this behavior.

Try again slick, I promise not to laugh!!

  • @nosajj12345

Were you trying to be sarcastic? I couldn't tell. The most arrogant bigots I've met are atheist bigots...

  • @dex1391 "Were you being sarcastic? I couldn't tell."

LOL....yes and in the process I listed the most blatant inconsiderate, disrespectful, and immoral behaviors of your belief system. DId you not recognize them?

It just cracks me up that you could read through a list of your belief system's worst and most high profile offenses, not say a word about them, and in the same breath go and critique the supposed disrespectful behavior of another group.

  • @nosajj12345

    Sounded like atheism to me.

  • @dex1391 "Sounded like atheism to me. "

    Really?

And what does atheism sound like?

  • @nosajj12345

    Bigotry....

  • @dex1391 Again, what about the bigotry perpetrated by Christianity? Of do you believe none exists?

  • @nosajj12345

    Dawkins.... Hitchens...

  • @dex1391 Falwell....Robertson...

I guess your point is: The bigotry of Dawkins and Hitchens is wrong but the bigotry perpetrated by your belief system is OK. Is that about the gist of it?

  • @nosajj12345

    Hypocrite

  • @dex1391 How so?

  • @nosajj12345

You call Christians bigots... when we have no problem with your beliefs.

Atheists have been attacking religious beliefs for decades (longer really) and somehow Christians (or other theists) are somehow to blame for getting attacked?

    That's hypocritical...

  • @dex1391 What do you mean "we"

Since when do you speak for every Christian sect out there, close to 300 in the U.S. alone last I heard.

At least acknowledge that a degree of intolerance is perpetrated by certain high profile Christian sects in the U.S. When you claim Christians have no problems with what others believe, you sound pathetically obtuse. I have far more respect for Christians who admit this goes on and express their regret. They have far more class than an evasive dumb troll like U

  • @nosajj12345

"sect" lol you mean denomination. hahaha

Typical insults. I don't care what foolish beliefs you have. I simply want your oppressive attacks and bigotry to come to an end.

Your treatment of me is a perfect representation of atheists treatment of Christians all over the world.

  • @dex1391 SECT: A religious denomination (Merriam Webster) should of left out the "hahaha" And I encourage people to check out your channel. You are clearly obsessed with and hateful of atheists.

It would be hilarious if it wasn't such a blatant cry for help. You adhere to a belief system that preaches peace and love yet you openly express hate....oh the irony!

  • @nosajj12345

It's denomination... not sect. How am I hateful? All I've done is simply put YOUR OWN WORDS in one place. Don't like it? Too bad. The only ones that show hatred are atheists. My page proves that.

  • @dex1391 "when we have no problem with your beliefs." If you think atheists should all convert to Christianity, or that we are immoral or evil, then you have a problem with our beliefs. If this is not the case, ignore this comment.

  • @Joelsef2898

Are ALL atheists immoral or evil? no of course not. Your belief is immoral...

  • @dex1391 How is my belief immoral? Does it harm others in some way?

  • @Joelsef2898

Immorality has nothing to do with harming someone else.

The belief that there are no consequences for our actions is by definition... immoral.

  • @dex1391 I never said I believed my actions have no consequences. If I insult someone, that person's view of me will be less favorable. If I murder someone, I will be causing grief and hardship on that person's friends and family. I would never do these things to another person because of those consequences. Not because something will happen to me, but because I genuinely believe in helping others over harming others.

  • @Joelsef2898

NO... you know that's not true. atheism is the belief that there are no consequences for our actions. That is immoral.

Jefferey Dahmer raped, murdered and ate individuals because of his atheistic beliefs.

  • @dex1391 You don't want to listen, I see. You just want to demonize and dehumanize. You're hopeless.

  • @Joelsef2898

I'm hopeless because I find atheism immoral? You have no right to judge..

  • @dex1391 No, you're hopeless because I said "I do not believe my actions have no consequences" and you said, essentially "Yes you do!" and are now comparing me to a serial killer. You don't come across as a nice person, do you know that?

  • @Joelsef2898

Nice strawman... If you believe in atheism... that is the belief that there are no consequences for our actions.

  • @dex1391 Your logic is obviously way different from mine if you don't get that I do believe my actions have consequences. How do I not?

  • @Joelsef2898

Way to dodge the question... What do you believe happens to murderers that don't get caught by the police..?

  • @dex1391 I'm assuming you posted this before seeing I did. Why do I think my actions have no consequences?

  • @dex1391 I'll bite and reply to your "YOU BELIEVE YOUR ACTIONS HAVE NO CONSEQUENCES" shit again. If I tap the wall, there is a sound. tap=action, sound =consequence. I hit someone, they get a large red mark on their skin and pain. hit=action, pain=cnsequence. If I act like a mean, unpleasant person, my reputation will be one of a mean, unpleasant person and my social reactions will suffer because of that. behavior=action, reputaion=consequence.

Plus, I like to think karma exists.

  • @Joelsef2898

OK... what do you believe happens to murders that don't get caught by the police?

  • @dex1391 They get away with it. Tough shit, but that's the way the world works. You can wish there's an afterlife (that's what faith is: wishful thinking) but the harsh reality is that this is more than likely the only life you have.

Our murderer in question, however, has to live with the fact that he's a headcase.

You also forgot murderers in tribal societies where there are no police, but they burn anyway for not loving Jesus, right?

  • @Joelsef2898

You believe that they get away with it. You believe that there are no real consequences for our actions..

    That is immoral.

  • @dex1391 Fine. So what do you think should be done with my horrible, evil, immoral, inhuman self?

  • @dex1391 You describe me as a sociopath. Sociopaths get thrown in the nuthouse/jail. Do you think that should happen to all atheists?

  • @Joelsef2898

Actually no sociopaths don't get thrown in jail. sociopathy is simply is a medical disorder in which an individual is unable to feel empathy. You don't go to jail for that.

  • @dex1391 One other thing, because one life is all we have (FACT), that makes it all that important. Because everyone gets one chance(FACT), you have to make sure everyone's experience is as positive as you have the means to make it. If I truly did not value life, like you claim I do, I would belive in infinite reincarnations. Then it wouldn't matter if I killed something, it would just come back as something else. But nope, this is how is is: One chance. Don't blow it.

  • @Joelsef2898

    FACT? OK prove it.

  • @dex1391 Because nobody has sufficient proof that any afterlife of any kind exists. Let alone spirits or souls or whatever voodoo crap you believe in.

  • @Joelsef2898

Really? So what evidence and proof do you have that atheism is accurate and correct?

  • @dex1391 /sigh

Just look up one of the other hundreds of videos answering shock of god's dumb little question. I don't have time for this shit.

  • @Joelsef2898

    Answer the question...

Where's your evidence for atheism? It's not a difficult question.

  • @dex1391 There is no evidence for atheism. It's the stance that theistic claims have failed to stand to scrutiny.

  • @dex1391 I'm more of an 80% agnostic, 20% atheist, ie. I'm believing that what we see is all there is until I see proof that there's something else. I'm not claiming to know 100% that there isn't a god or some higher power like it. Just that I don't think there is. If you think uncertainty is a bad thing, then feel free to use this as your victory point.

  • @Joelsef2898

It's not uncertainty... You asked why I felt that atheism is immoral. I explained.

  • @dex1391 I don't see how atheism=my actions have no consequences
