  • Useless gay faggot cunt, just like he was at CGS.

  • Great structure and technique its great to see that aust has legit clubs unlike all the shit you see from europe and usa this looks similar to my school great stuff

  • Amazingly insightful and informative DVDs and recommended to any student regardless of lineage or organisation politics.

  • He is really good, I have switched from Leung ting thug, although I keep some of the programmes ad ting thug taught, ving tsun is better and much more better. fuck leung ting, and his McMarketing shit.

  • Best explanation on the Wing Chun forms I have ever seen... Amazing teacher. Excellent dvd series

  • Nice video...If you want see my wooden dummy too..

    /watch?v=UkhyhZzxIlk

  • sifu david peterson is a chinese teacher at the highschool i went to ^^

  • To learn the mistakes of one sifu and to learn the correctness of another is what makes Wing Chun a high skill compared to others. Order the David Peterson dvds and see that even Mr Peterson quotes on a skill and taught philosophy of Leung Ting. It, the dvd, would only prove that no matter how bad or good a teacher is, their skills can not be totally invalid. In some way, it would work to your advantage to know others disadvantages. This is also considered as Wing Chun code.

  • How long do you actually do form for? So many schools do if differently some are like 5 mins some 20 and some 45mins

  • @iskkarate it's hard to say, when i learned it, our teacher gives us about 45 min, but some disples use only 20 min or less. when u do it so often u just wanna do it faster... nevertheless i suggest u to do it slowly, cuz the forms r not designed for real combat, it teaches u how to do the major moves properly. any ways wing chun is not as easy as it looks, its effectiveness depends on ur efforts.

  • @iskkarate This is where you make the form your own. I take perhaps 10 minutes,... my wife would like me to take longer.. ;)

  • omg im so proud!!!! hes my teacher in australia!! no joke!!! david peterson's chinese name is ding chao chen!!!!! and ofcource i see him everyday!!!

  • @ah111815148199147 hey man I'm guessing you guys probably dont like Grandmaster William Cheungs Wing Chun.

  • @ah111815148199147 Hi how long do you do siu lim tao for?

  • This DVD is excellent! I highly recommend it! David is an excellent communicator!

  • You are right about gaining respect. I am still not going to act in a disrespective manner to anyone even if they are doing bad or evil things. To respect all no matter what is the basis of the Wing Chun Code. Does anyone follow the code anymore?

  • @tdbevolution yes tha koo sang linage.

  • To bicker over two students that were under Ip Man's Hall is crazy and ridiculous. Both have made incredible strides to be Masters in different light. Even if you do not like one or the other, both give honor to Ip Man and we all should respect that they are working towards teaching the memory of one of the greatest teachers of the 20th century. Wong Shun Leung was awesome. Leung Ting is a great teacher too. When it comes to who is King, no teacher can overshadow the GREAT SHADOW of Ip Man.

  • Bla Bla....Leung Ting was never a true student of Yip Man, he learned the bulk of his Wing Chun from a student of Leung Sheung. Everyone in Hong Kong knows this. Leung Ting never did any Challenge matches (beimo) like Wong did for Yip Man. Please don't compare Leung Ting to Wong Shun Leung, it's an insult to Wong Sifus memory and legacy.

    Cheers

  • Did I say that Leung Ting was off of Yip Man? Even I question that and I am not in Hong Kong. I have no special ties to Hong Kong at all...don't make assumptions. To me, even if you have ones that are "off" when it comes to Wing Chun, we are all suppose to respect each other. Wing Chun true essence is to respect all or do you remember the rules of how to be a True Wing Chun Man...The rules of the Wing Chun Hall? Im not placing them on the same level, I am just respecting Wing Chun FIRST!

  • Sorry, you have to earn respect. And in wing chun you get it the way wong shun leung got it-by fighting and teaching properly- not by trying to make as much money as possible out of it, by telling half-truths or slapping ex-girlfriends like mr. leung ting did.

  • leung ting is definitely not a great teacher, he is however a great business man. Something must explain his ability to make money teaching shit.

  • No. Leung ting is Neither a great teacher nor a great fighter. He is a great businessman, as the evidence of the shit he teaches to many people shows.

  • Leung Ting is a fraud ... he has no seniority...At the funeral of Ip Man, he just wore a black arm tie ... He was not allowed to call Ip Man his sifu.

This is about Wong shun leung! And he was the king!

  • Wong Shun Leung is weak. he wouldn't stand long against Leung Ting.

  • Well, claiming things about dead people has been done before in the LT WingTsun (copyright/trademark/patent/wewanturmoney) lineage...

  • @Vojak3

No offence, but WSL was amongst the best of the best in the Wing Chun system, just take a look at his students, Wan Kam Leung, Nino Bernardo, Gary Lam, David Peterson, even the late Bruce Lee had many private training sessions with Bruce Lee, these are all highly respected wing chun masters in their own right. WSL won many rooftop fights in HK against other highly skilled martial artists. He really was a world class Martial Artist and Sifu. I wish I could have met him. RIP WSL

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • @arjgro Well said!!

  • Yep, my Chinese teacher too :)

  • lol That's my chinese teacher at school P

  • Chinese teacher at school (y)

  • thats my chinese teacher

  • I bought this dvd recently and think its great, in the 1st 15 mins I picked up some very useful tips, evnthough I've been doing Wing Chun quite a while! One question, I cant find the Gum Sao/Fak Sao part, is it on it?

  • looks pretty good =)

  • Recently bought his book "look beyond the pointing finger", it's very good!

  • i was given the book from sifu enzo it opened my eyes about wingchun even though i dont practice it lots of info though

  • @mrjack001 Does that book talk about all the wing chun forms?

  • It's clear there are some people commenting here that haven't felt it. Positioning that is so subtle & timing so sweet... If we talk of VT in terms of the technique then David is excellent. If we talk of fighting then it worked for him when he needed it. How many can say that? Not many. There are many whose technique fails them when it counts and those that cannot make people better fighters than themselves. David can.

  • Hey! I have got a question for you: How long is a piece of string?

  • hey kung fu i got a question for u for street fighting what would be better muay thai kickboxing (basicly mma) or this.

  • its individual

  • Let settle this with a bloody street fight !! ha hehe

  • My dad was one of Yip Man's students from the 1950's. He taught me everything Yip Man taught him. Of all Y.Man's students, Wong Shun Leung is undisputedly THE BEST. Dave Peterson is WSL's student and I too have attended his class. Other teachers claim to be the best but they teach modified, distorted versions of Wing Chun. I can honestly say, through my dad, that D.Peterson teaches exactly what Y.Man taught W.S.L.. nothing but pure Wing Chun.

  • I'm sorry, did I say that I was Yip Man? NO!!! Get some reading lessons you DIMWIT. You're obviously Jealous. And racist.

  • I was certainly not referring to you but to the person whom you are liking the a_s _e. From your answer and insult you do indeed lack humility. I believe my friend that you are the one who should have reading lessons - and lessons on manners too. Be happy and don't use the word racist to defend yourself! It's got nothing to do with racism. The point is that if someone is that good, he does NOT NEED to promote his VT via their teacher. There is no such a thing as the WSL VT just VT or WC.

  • Of course there is such thing as WSL WC... it is the WC version tought by WSL... Every teacher does it a bit different, and WSL Students are no exeption

  • Each person's genetic code is unique hence you cannot be your teacher or your fellow student. If it was promoted as the (in the WSL style) then one might accept such claim, but NOT WSL VT. For, he was not the founder and neither was the late Yip Man. Potentially, everyone practicing VT could claim their own style but often they don't unless people perceive them to be famous. Wong Si-fu never promoted himself as "WSL VT" just VT.

  • There are great differences between WC styles tought by various students of Yip Man. This way, it is uminportant how WSL called the style he tought, it was still his own interpretation of WC, and this is something important to understand. The WC I learn from one student of WSL in Germany is rather different from one other WSL student practices. I don't speak of "founding", I speak of interpretations.

    Happy new Year!

  • Happy 2008! --- Precisely ---. Thank you for confirming the point I have been trying to make. Therefore, Mr DP should not use his teacher's name to promote his own interpretation of WC and calling it the WSL method, when in fact he is teaching his own version and only uses his late teacher's name to establish an identity. Why not use the DP WC method?

  • If anyone has the right to call their WC teachings WSLWC it's Peterson. In 1994 WSL himself said DP was his only foreign-based student that did not make any personal alterations or additions whatsoever to what he was taught. Thus calling his system DPWC would be taking away the credit the late WSL deserves.

    Keep smashing. ;-)

  • maybe santa clause gives me one for christmas ;)

  • we want more,,,,, we want more :)

  • Then buy the DVD.

I bought it and it's worth the money. The level of detailed information is priceless, in my opinion.
