dude awesome video. loved it so much. just wondering what type of markers you used to colour it all in because i've been working on a comic for a while and when i've tried colouring it in it doesn't come up anywhere near as clean and smooth as yours. oh and how did you reuse the backgrounds. do you have like erasable markers or something? your help would be much appreciated and yet again awesome vid :D

@Pelican0Storm Heey~ I did the art for this video along with hdnmssgs. :D Thanks for the feedback. To answer your question, I used Prismacolor markers. We never actually reused the backgrounds. I drew all of the positions into one picture and hdnmssgs used Adobe Photoshop to erase what wasn't needed for the frame. :] I hope this will help with your comic!

I love the illustrations. You really need to make the images go by a little faster for the cartoon parts. It seems to be kinda slow... a little less entertaining. Cool lyric highlight w/ the chorus! That's awesome!

What's there right now took us a long time; if we had more time to do it I would have but I like the way it turned out with the final part of the song showing the entire thing over matched with the beat. If I had more pictures, it wouldn't have worked out like that. We tried to compensate for the slow bits with little visual things like the narwhal and the sun's expression that you might not notice if it went by really fast.

And I love the lyric parts too. I knew I wanted to highlight certain lyrics, but timing wise, those certain ones happened to work best. Wheew, that was long. And thanks for the comment!

Actually, I originally wanted the emphasized lyrics to be:

And look at the trees and look at my face and look at a place far away from here

I like the sentiment a lot and I just love the line about giving all the olive trees. Quite a rich little line. But timing wise, the other one made more sense.

I didn't so much as put the words to explain what's going on, but more because I think those are the most resonant parts of the song. I love the line, "I'd take you where nobody knows you and nobody gives a damn," and felt it works well with the simple story. Although, I did need to fill out some time. But that's beside the point.
